Netflix To Premiere Korean Live-Action Parasyte Series On April 5

On Wednesday, the staff for Parasyte: The Grey (Kiseiju: The Grey, a South Korean live-action adaptation of the Parasyte manga revealed that the series will premiere on Netflix on April 5.

Jeon So-nee, Koo Kyo-hwan, and Lee Jung-hyun are starring in the adaptation.

Yeon San-ho is the director of the series, and is writing the scripts alongside Ryu Yong-jae.

The series has also cast Kwon Hae-hyo and Kim In-kwon. However, their roles are not known yet.

The live-action series will release new episodes until June.

“Parasyte” is an anime series based on the manga of the same name by Hitoshi Iwaaki. It follows the story of Shinichi Izumi, a high school student whose right hand is taken over by an alien parasite named Migi.

These parasites invade Earth and take over human bodies, feeding on them.

However, Migi fails to take control of Shinichi’s brain and instead coexists with him, granting him enhanced abilities.

As Shinichi and Migi navigate their new symbiotic relationship, they encounter other parasites who pose a threat to humanity.

Together, they must find a way to protect themselves and those around them while uncovering the truth behind the parasites’ existence and their ultimate goals.
