Natsume’s Book Of Friends TV Anime Season 7 Confirmed

On July 1, 2023, the official Twitter account of Natsume’s Book of Friends franchise shared exciting news for its fans.
The franchise confirmed that the production decision for season 7 has been made, and the new season is titled Natsume’s Book of Friends – Lacquer.

Natsume’s Book Of Friends TV Anime Season 7 Confirmed
The anime is based on Yuki Midorikawa’s manga series, Natsume’s Book of Friends. It started serializing in Hakusensha’s LaLa DX from June 2003 to April 2008.
The first season of the anime started and aired from July 2008 to September 2008. It was made by Brain’s Base Studio.
The studio Brain’s Base animated the series for four seasons, after which Studio Shuka took charge. Studio Shuka made seasons 5 and 6 with director Kotomi Deai.
Viz Media has the license for the manga in English and describes the series as:
Takashi Natsume can see the spirits and demons that hide from the rest of humanity. He has always been set apart from other people because of his gift, drifting from relative to relative, never fitting in. Now he’s a troubled high school student who has come to live in the small town where his grandmother grew up. And there he discovers that he has inherited more than just sight from the mysterious Reiko.
