Narutop99 Unveils Final List Of Winners, Minato To Get His Own Manga!
Narutop99 has revealed its winners’ list and defeating every other Naruto character, Minato Namikaze bagged first place with 792,257 votes to get his own manga, as Itachi and Sakura follow behind!
Narutop99, Naruto‘s Worldwide Character Popularity poll, revealed the final results today!
The poll was announced back in December 2022, during Jump Festa’23. While the fans weren’t pleased with the announcement, everyone had their eyes on the poll as the winner would get their own spinoff manga. Alongside this, it was also announced that the top 20 characters would feature in a new official illustration by Masashi Kishimoto himself!

The results were streamed on Jump Comics’ official YouTube channel:
Defeating every other Naruto character, Minato Namikaze bagged first place with a grand total of 792,257 votes, earning a solo manga of his own.
He is followed by Itachi Uchiha in second place with 505,014 votes and Sakura Haruno in third place with 489,619.

Minato Holds His Position from Mid-Term Result of Narutop99
Even though more than two months have passed since the character popularity poll voting ended, fans continued to express support for their favourite characters online.
Mid-term results showed Minato being the most popular but due to Sakura fans’ online presence and some information flying here and there on the internet. Many fans of the series believed that Sakura would receive her own manga.
Despite all that, The Yellow Flash and The Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, has won the poll and secured his own manga.
Kishimoto’s message to fans and illustration
Following the results of the poll, Masashi Kishimoto, author of Naruto unveiled the new illustration of the top 20 characters as promised.
Along with this illustration, Masashi also released a note thanking the fans for their efforts in the poll. He also explains that he illustrated the top 22 characters instead of 20 As he wanted to draw Kurama who came 22nd so he drew Might Guy (rank 21) as well.
He further mentioned that Sakura winning third place made him proud as a writer!
