Mad Volume 8 Released
MAd reaches 8 volumes after 2 years, ending its second major arc as John develops his personal techniques against an alien worshipper.
On September 25, 2026, we got a preview for Shonen Jump Plus volume covers for the October 3rd release.
As such, we got the cover for Mad Volume 8, featuring John and the cult leader of the Church of Yazur, which believes in the Aliens as gods who judge humanity, Yazur, in their Adaptor forms, both being capable of transforming into Aliens after having consumed their flesh.
Mad is notable for its more Western comic book aesthetic when it comes to its volume cover designs, with the center showing the actual art.
This covers the end of the Yazur Arc (Chapters 22 to 49), from Chapter 44: “The Second Blade” to Chapter 49: “Daybreak” for a total of 192 pages.
