Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece continues its epic adventures this year. The first was the completion of 1000+ episodes.
Then came the success of its live-action adaptation, and now the future King of the Pirates has arrived in New York.
On Friday, Toei Animation announced that a balloon of Monkey D. Luffy will be part of the 97th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!
Along with Luffy, Goku will also be part of the parade. Although this is Luffy’s first time in the parade, Goku was chosen as part of the parade in 2018.
The Luffy Ballon will measure 43 feet long, 39 feet wide, and 50 feet tall and follow the parade route from Central Park West to Herald Square.
A merry crew of pirate-themed marchers will also join the beloved captain of Strawhats!
Masayuki Endo, the president and CEO of Toei Animation, commented, “We’re thrilled to have the We’re thrilled to have the celebrated anime franchise One Piece join the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with our Monkey D. Luffy giant character balloon.
