Kinnikuman Perfect Origin Arc TV Anime Reveals Three New Cast Members
Kinnikuman Perfect Origin Arc will premiere in Japan on July 7, 2024.
On June 7, the Kinnikuman Perfect Origin Arc revealed three new cast members.
The new TV anime is an adaptation of Perfect Origin Arc from the long-running Kinnikuman manga.
Kinnikuman Perfect Origin Arc will premiere in Japan on the Chubu-Nippon broadcasting and Tokyo Broadcasting System networks on July 7, 2024.
The series will also be streamed on Netflix.
The new cast includes:
- Toshiyuki Morikawa, voicing Akuma Shogun
- Tetsu Inada, voicing Sunshine
- Yuichi Nakamura, voicing Kinnikuman Super Phoenix
The staff for the anime includes:
- Director: Akira Sato
- Scripts: Makoto Fukami
- Character Design: Hirotaka Marufuji
- Music: Yasuharu Takanashi
- Studio: Production I.G.
The new anime commemorates the 40th anniversary of the original television anime, which premiered in April 1983.
Kinnikuman, also known as Ultimate Muscle in English, was published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1979 to 1987.
In 1983, the manga also inspired an anime adaptation.
Later in 2011, the series was republished in Shueisha’s web magazine, Shu Play News, and also has spin-off manga series, anime films, video games, and merchandise.
The manga has released 83 volumes in Japan, and the latest volume will be in Japanese bookstores on September 29.
