Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Part 1 Releases Official Trailer and Key Visual
Jujutsu Kaisen’s latest trailer and key visual sets up arguably the most exciting season of the entire series
On December 20, 2025 at Jump Festa 2026, Jujutsu Kaisen releases its main trailer for Season 3, Part 1, which is set for January 8, 2025.
The first trailer of Season 3 shows the events of the Jujutsu Kaisen recap film, “Execution”, that are an advance screening of the first two episodes, ending at Chapter 144: “That Place”
This trailer expands on the story for the Culling Game as we see the start of the event itself, the introduction of new characters, and even a hint of where the first half of the season will end.
Throughout the trailer, we also got a hint of the new opening by King GNU titled, “Aizo” that was teased the previous day.
A new version of the original Season 3 key visual adds in other characters, such as Megumi, Choso, and more around the image, which some fans found disappointing.
On December 24, 2025, we also got a new key visual featuring Kenjaku in the background and all the Culling Game players for this part of the manga.
Alongside Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Yuta Okkotsu, Yuki Tsukumo, Choso, Panda, Maki and Naoya Zenin, we also see Tengen, Principal Masamichi Yaga and the Culling Game players: Kinji Hakari and Kirara Hoshi, Hiromi Higuruma, Ryo Ishiguro, Uro, Reggie Star, Fumihiko Takaba, and the Angel, with the Kogane, the shikigami that oversees the Culling Game.
Trailer Breakdown
The trailer first shows Kenjaku (identified here by Megumi as Noritoshi Kamo as his most prominent past identity) initiating the Culling Game, a death game between those he has granted cursed techniques.
Throughout the first 10 seconds, we see hints of the new characters, with a distorted sky representing Uro, blood splattering on a suit with a sunflower pin representing Hiromi Higuruma, with the papers hung up representing Reggie Star and we also see Ryu Ishigori relaxing on the roof of a building, smoking.
Megumi asks for Yuji’s power, which is from Episode 2.
We see multiple scenes, mainly Yuji fighting off Cursed Spirits, from the first two episodes that were revealed in the Execution compilation film as Naoya explains his alibi when he kills Yuji and Choso, saying that since Tokyo has turned into a cursed Inhuman Makyo, people can die anytime for any reason here.
This is such a fitting contrast with Yuji saying he has killed many people, with two shots, one of Sukuna inside Yuji’s body as he is responsible for the burden Yuji carries and for the Shibuya massacre, and another of Yuji sitting down on the stairs behind a bloodstained stain-glass window, which is where the very first key visual of the season comes from.
This continues from Megumi’s conversation with Yuji, with Megumi telling Yuji that because of their sins as Sorcerers, they must keep moving forward and keep proving why they exist as we see the characters meet Tengen inside the Tomb of the Stars.
We now have some new scenes introducing some crucial characters.
Kinji Hakari talks about luck and how it is meant to be tested and we now see his actual hair and skin color for the first time, with him being fair-skinned and blonde.
The blonde hair choice was controversial even during the manga run as Gege Akutami revealed that he was slightly colorblind and so was not consistent in his color choices.
We also see Hakari’s partner, Kirara Hoshi, remarking that they enjoy seeing Hakari being hot, a reference to Hakari’s concept of “fever” or the love for the thrill and the risky pursuit of one’s desires.
We also a glimpse of the incredible fight between Naoya and Choso from the Execution compilation.
Tengen explains that the Angel’s Cursed Technique can open the back of the Prison Realm that has trapped Satoru Gojo, with Angel shown bathing in a heavenly glow while the Prison Realm is thrown into darkness, a reference to how Kenjaku threw the Prison Realm deep in the ocean.
We cut to the fight between Yuji and Yuta, who talks about how his power was something of his design rather than something thrust or cursed upon him.
This leads to the opening, Aizo, as Yuji and the rest enter the Culling Game and Kogane explains the rules.
Alongside a continuation of Yuji vs Yuta, we see a new scene, Naoya’s fight against Maki during the Perfect Preparation Arc and it is notably in a wide rocky plain.
Yuji and Hakari also fight and we also see Maki take on the Hei unit of the Zenin Clan.
In contrast, we also meet the Culling Game players, the Comedian Takaba, Higuruma putting Yuji on trial via his non-lethal Domain Expansion, Deadly Sentencing, and Reggie Star facing off against Megumi.
Where Will Season 3 Part 1 End off?
Season 3 begins with Chapter 138: “The Zenin Clan” and will likely end on Chapter 221: “Gain and Loss”, which would make Season 3 the most dense in terms of content at 83 chapters, compared to Season 2’s 74 chapters.
If this will be a 24-episode season, Part 1 will likely cover Chapter 138 all the way to Chapter 181: “Tokyo No. 2 Colony, Part 1” with the conclusion of the four -way Sendai Colony battle led by Yuta Okkotsu for a total of 42 chapters.
