Jujutsu Kaisen Mangaka Has a New Story!
Having hinted this project a year ago, Jujutsu Kaisen’s Gege Akutami returns to write for a short-term manga.

It was announced on August 28, 2025 that Gege Akutami was start a new serialization on Weekly Shonen Jump on Issue 41 that will be out on September 8.
The series is titled “Mojuro”.
Akutami will write the short-term serialization with art by Yuji Iwasaki (Cipher Academy).
Chapter 1 will come with 54 pages.
Previously, Akutami hinted this in the final volume of Jujutsu Kaisen, released on December 25, 2024.
Within the same issue, Kagurabachi will be on break but will release its second bonus chapter.
Gege Akutami recently concluded his hit manga series, Jujutsu Kaisen, on September 30, 2024, nearly a year ago, which has reached 30 volumes of 271 chapters and accumulated over 100 million copies sold internationally, making it one of the biggest sellers in Shueisha and Weekly Shonen Jump.
Meanwhile, Cipher Academy was written by Nisio Isin (Monogatari novel series) and illustrated by Yūji Iwasaki and released to Weekly Shonen Jump from November 21, 2022 to February 5, 2024, reaching 7 volumes with 58 chapters.
The story is set in the eponymous all-girls military academy where they learn cryptography, solving puzzles and secret codes.
Iroha Irohazaka is the sole boy in his class and runs into Kogoe Horagatoge, who Iroha helps hide from his heiress classmate, Kyora Toshusai, and provides Iroha with glasses that can read hidden hints in codes.
This lands Iroha in a conspiracy involving a 50 billion morg cryptocurrency stash in the Academy that could either end all wars or double them.
