Jujutsu Kaisen Fan Creates Petition To Delay The Anime!

Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 has captivated fans with its amazing animation. However, at the same time, fans are also angry at Studio MAPPA for overworking its animators for Jujutsu Kaisen.

As such, the fans have created a petition to appeal to MAPPA founders Masao Maruyama and Manabu Otsuka to provide better working conditions for its animators.

In the past few months, we have seen countless breakdowns and resignations of animators at MAPPA. Furthermore, MAPPA has also made their animators sign NDAs to restrict them from sharing about their working conditions.

This came after romours of quality suffering for Jujutsu Kaisen anime episode 18 and there after.

Recently, the news that MAPPA also denied its animators request to delay the series for them to properly work on it added to the fire.

The petition creator is also concerned with the quality of the upcoming season of Chainsaw Man, as the same team working on Jujutsu Kaisen is expected to work on Chainsaw Man.

Below are the demands of petitioners to the founders:

• A needed delay for the next few episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen. To allow the animators time to put out great work.
• Better working conditions for the animators. So they can always be at their best and bring their best to the series.
• Realistic time frames for animating a series from here on out. To give the animators some breathing room and prevent burnout.

About Jujutsu Kaisen:

Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump since March 2018, with its chapters collected and published in 24 tankōbon volumes as of October 2023.

Studio MAPPA brought the world of JJK into anime by airing 24 episodes of season 1 from October 2020 to March 2021 and a second season that premiered in July 2023.
