Jujutsu Kaisen Culling Game Movie Length Revealed
The movie length for the Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution compilation film has been revealed, along with a new clip that sets up the coming new episodes for the Culling Game
On November 1, 2025, it was revealed that the Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution film will have a runtime of 1 hour, 28 minutes or 88 minutes total.
This compilation film will have a condensed recap of the Shibuya Incident (Episodes 6-23 of Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen) and the first two episodes of Season 3, the Culling Game.
Not including the opening and ending, which are confirmed to not be featured in the movie, each new episode is over 20 minutes long for a total of over 40 minutes of runtime.
This means that the Shibuya recap will be 48 minutes or less, sharing equal runtime with the new episodes.
Although not covering every single moment, fans can expect the following moments included:
- Episode 31: “Evening Festival”: Mechamaru vs Mahito
- Episode 32 and 33: “Shibuya Incident- Gate Open”: Gojo vs the Disaster Curses and his Sealing
- Episode 35: “Summon”: Toji’s Revival
- Episode 37: “Red Scale”: Yuji vs Choso
- Episode 40: “Thunderclap”: highlights of Toji vs Megumi and Sukuna vs Jogo
- Episode 41: “Thunderclap Part 2”: Sukuna vs Mahoraga in Blu-ray quality
- Episodes 42 to 44: “Right and Wrong””: Brief showings of Nanami’s death and Nobara’s fate
- Episodes 45 to 46: “Transformation”: a shortened version of Mahito vs Yuji and Todo
- Episode 47: “The Shibuya Incident – Gate Closed”: Yuta’s appearance, leading up to the Culling Game start
New Clip
We received a short 35 second clip of the first episode, showing a portion of the fight between Yuji and Yuta adapting Chapter 141: “The Front of the Back.”
We start with a long-take of Yuji going through a car window while recalling Gojo’s words in a flashback.
Gojo explains that Yuji should not rely on Cursed Tools that he neglects training Cursed Energy control as he is not ready for that.
The anime shows this scene by having Gojo channel Cursed Energy through his back scratcher.
In the present, Yuji channels his Cursed Energy through Slaughter Demon, the Tool he was given in case of emergencies.
We do not see the outcome of this clash between Yuta’s sword and Slaughter Demon as it is cut off.
In the manga, we see that Yuji was easily kicked by Yuta’s immense strength.
One leak has mentioned that the first episode will be storyboarded by Shota Goshozono, the director of Seasons 2 and 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen, as he and most series director have often done for first episodes.
This could mean that Episode 1 will adapt Chapter 138: “The Zenin Clan” to Chapter 141.
We could see the episode start where the second season left off, the two scenes of Yuji clapping to lure out Cursed Spirits, and Yuta’s return to Japan, leading to him meeting up with Yuji.

Additionally, while there are no dates yet, the Philippines and Indonesia will release the movie by December 2025 as well.
