Hunter x Hunter Officially Returns This Year.
Will 2026 be the one year where Hunter x Hunter releases two new volumes instead of one?
On April 8, 2026, Hunter x Hunter’s author, Yoshihiro Togashi, posted a major update regarding Chapter 430, stating that the inking for the chapter is done.
Furthermore, he has something to say regarding the official release for the upcoming chapters:
“Please wait for the announcement from the Jump editorial department regarding the publication timing for Chapters 420 onward.
I’m receiving tons of motivation to keep going from my wife.”
On the tweet, we get an illustration of Kurapika together with a giant lucky cat figure version of Artemis, and Sailor Mars.
Given the style, it seems the Sailor Moon characters are drawn by Togashi’s wife, Naoko Takeuchi.
Coincidentally, this is posted with the hashtag #Artemis2 as the Artemis II orbits around the moon and it so happens that Artemis is Sailor Venus’ Guardian
Sailor Mars is also holding a card, bearing the numbers “4/17”, which happen to be her birthday.
Meanwhile on Kurapika’s collar, we see “4/4”, his birthday.
The tag #Shiningtheater is in reference to a special Sailor Moon theater performance taking place at Shinagawa, Tokyo in April.
If the translation is correct, Togashi specifies that the “timing” for Chapters 420 onward will be announced soon, implying the possibility that the newest chapters might be released within this year alongside the anticipated Chapters 411 to 420.
With such a statement, we can expect an announcement at least at the end of April, alongside the hint using Sailor Mars’ birthday.
Alternatively, we could hear of this from the upcoming Jump Press this April 27th.
