Haikyu!! Sales Soar To Nearly Double 5 Years After Manga Ending
Haikyuu reaches an incredible milestone, with sales nearly double the amount since the manga ended 5 years ago.
On December 21, 2025, it was Haikyu!! by Haruichi Furudate has reached 75.000.000 copies in circulation with 45 volumes.
This puts Haikyuu as the 32nd best-selling manga of all time and one of the top 5 best-selling sports manga of all time, with Slam Dunk reigning at the top with 185 million copies sold.
As the manga ended on July 20, 2020 and sales reached 40 million by August of the same year, this means sales have nearly doubled after 5 years since the manga’s conclusion.
The sequel film, “Haikyu!!: VS The Little Giant”, and the anime special, “Haikyu!!: The Place Where Monsters Go”, will both be released in 2027.

Haikyu!! would be adapted by Production I.G. (Kaiju No. 8, Psycho-Pass, Heavenly Delusion) from April 6, 2014 to December 19, 2020 with four seasons and 85 episodes total, along with 5 OVAs and a movie.
