Grand Blue Season 2 Rumored To Be Real And Currently In Development!

Studio Zero-G will be back to work on Grand Blue Season 2 along with director Shinji Takamatsu and character designer Hideoki Kusama.

Twitter’s trusted anime leaker, @SugoiLITE, on May 7, 2024, posted on their account that the fan-favorite comedy anime, Grand Blue, will be getting a second season and is further reported to be currently in production.

Studio Zero-G will be back to work on Grand Blue Season 2. Shinji Takamatsu, who directed the show’s first season and a bunch of episodes for Gintama, will also be returning to direct the second season. Hideoki Kusama (Grand Blue S1, FMAB, Haikyu!!) will work on the project as the character designer.

Since this information isn’t official yet, do take it with a pinch of salt. No official announcement date or release date has been mentioned so far.

About Grand Blue:

Grand Blue Dreaming, known in Japan simply as Grand Blue, is a manga series written by Kenji Inoue and illustrated by Kimitake Yoshioka. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s seinen manga magazine Good! Afternoon since April 2014.

The 12-episode anime, produced by Zero-G, was broadcast from July to September 2018 on MBS as part of the Animeism programming block. A live-action film adaptation was released in August 2020.
