New Jujutsu Kaisen movie announced

Season 2 was a huge hit for the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom, marked by a new aesthetic and more unique animations, especially with the release of the Blu-ray version.

From broadcast to Blu-ray, Season 2 will now enter the silver screen.

During Jujufest 2024, MAPPA staff announces the release of the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death Arc anime compilation movie to be released in Japan in 2025.

This will combine the first five episodes of Season 2 into a 105-minute movie.

Along with the announcement of the compilation movie, the official Jujutsu Kaisen anime Season 2 guidebook is confirmed to be released on October 4th.

This will contain art and production materials, as well as insights from the production staff and episode directors on how the anime was made, among other things.

The Hidden Inventory Arc or Gojo’s Past Arc tells the story of Satoru Gojo’s years as a student in Jujutsu High, his former friendship with Suguru Geto, and their mission to protect the Star Plasma Vessel Riko Amanai.

These events culminated in the fate-shattering fight against Toji Fushiguro that awakened Gojo’s full powers after a near-death experience.

Jujutsu Kaisen is a hit manga series authored by Gege Akutami beginning in March 2018 for Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.

As of July 2024, there have been 27 volumes in circulation. The series will end on September 30, 2024 after 4 chapters as of writing this.
