Fullmetal Alchemist Webtoon Is Here!

Fullmetal Alchemist is coming in webtoon format with updated colors.

Ever since May 7, 2025, WEBTOON Entertainment Inc. announced that Fullmetal Alchemist is converted into a reformatted, full-color webtoon version exclusively on WEBTOON’s English-language site.

The manga by Hiromi Arakawa sees its classic panels changed into a vertical scroll format for an easier reading experience for fans.

This will mean that there will be no alterations to the art and story other than fitting it to the webtoon presentaton format.

The website updates every 3 days, with currently 24 episodes, with Episode 24 adapting the first 14 pages of Chapter 9: “A Home with a Family Waiting”

Fullmetal Alchemist is a manga written and illustrated by Hiromu Arakawa for Square Enix’s Monthly Shōnen Gangan from July 12, 2001 to June 11, 2010.

With 27 volumes and 108 chapters, the manga sold more than 80 million copies worldwide, making it the 28th best-selling manga of all time.

Fullmetal Alchemist was adapted by Bones twice, first, a mostly original story titled Fullmetal Alchemist in 2003–2004, and second, a retelling that faithfully adapts the original manga in 2009–2010 titled Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Fullmetal Alchemist is the story of two brothers, Edward and Alphonse Elric, who seek a way to restore their bodies after a terrible accident when they attempted to bring back their mother with Human Transmutation.
