Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2 reveals its first main trailer and an ending theme by milet.

On November 20, 2025, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2 unveiled its first main trailer, including the ending theme, “The Story of Us” by milet.

The musician has recently performed for the opening and ending theme songs of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” Season 3 alongside Man with a Mission, titled “Kizuna no Kiseki” (Miracle of Bonds) and “Koi Kogare” (Yearning) respectively.

The trailer release was announced a day ahead.

The trailer features Frieren, Fern and Stark on their more mundane adventures, with flashes to Frieren’s time with the Hero Party led by Himmel the Hero.

There is no episode count listed.

Season 2 will be released on January 16, 2026.

The manga is currently under an indefinite hiatus starting October 15, 2025.

While most of the staff from the first season return, this season, the first season’s series director, Keiichirō Saitō, steps out of the limelight and becomes co-director, providing support for the second season’s director, Tomoya Kitagawa, who previously directed

Kitagawa previously directed Episodes 2, 8, and 25 of the first season.

Assisting Kitagawa is Daiki Harashina, who directed Episode 3 of the previous season.

About Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is a fantasy adventure manga written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe for Shogakukan’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Sunday since April 2020, reaching 15 volumes as of October 11, 2025.

The anime adaptation is under Studio Madhouse’s care, with Keiichirō Saitō (also the director of Bocchi the Rock) as director, releasing a total of 28 episodes and debuted with a 2-hour pilot special containing the first four episodes on September 29, 2023.

These 28 episodes adapted the first 60 chapters of the manga.

Evan Call (Violet Evergarden) is the music composer for the series.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is the story of Frieren, the elf mage from the Hero Party that defeated the Demon King, and her journey after the retirement of her Party. Joined by her apprentice Fern and their vanguard Stark, the group would roam across the world, with Frieren wanting to learn more magic while resting place of souls in order to reunite with Himmel, the Hero of her party.

By February 2025, the manga had over 24 million copies in circulation.
