Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Manga To Go On Hiatus Again

Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine, which is in its 24th edition this year, said on Wednesday that the manga Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End (Sōsō no Frieren) by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe will take a break until its 25th issue on May 15.

When the manga will resume being serialized was not disclosed by the publication.

After a one-month break, the manga just made a reappearance in the magazine’s combined 22nd and 23rd editions on April 24.

In April 2020, Yamada and Abe released the current manga in the Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine published by Shogakukan.

After a brief break, the series resumed serialization in March 2023.

The first compiled book volume of the manga was published by Shogakukan in August 2020, and the thirteenth volume was made available on April 17.

The manga has been licensed by Viz Media, who will publish the eleventh volume in English on September 10.

Since the anime’s premiere, 7 million more copies of the manga have been sold. There are currently more than 17 million copies of the manga in use.

On September 29 of the previous year, a two-hour special for the anime Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End debuted.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is a manga series written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. It has been serialized in Shogakukan’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Sunday since April 2020, with its chapters collected in twelve tankōbon volumes as of December 2023.

The first season of the anime, produced by Studio MADHOUSE, aired from September 2023 to March 2024.
