On November 2, 2026, controversial Shonen Jump Plus manga “Drama Queen” has announced that it will conclude within 4 chapters
Since Chapter 74 will drop on November 16th, meaning two weeks later, it is likely the series will end between December 7th to 28th, following its semi-weekly schedule.
The climactic battle concludes with the death of the main antagonist alien Lily♪, who reunites with his deceased brother Lally☆, in the afterlife.
The manga is notable for a daring first chapter, with the arrival of seemingly benevolent aliens viewed as a threat to human existence by the protagonists, who choose to eat the aliens they slaughter, which lends an anti-immigration interpretation, especially amidst Japan’s ongoing right-wing surge and groups expressing anti-migrant sympathies.
As a result of its disturbing, disconnected material, on top of the decline of physical sales, in spite having over 700,000 views on its first chapter by 2025, Drama Queen has sold around 5,000 copies for its first two volumes.
