No official release date has been mentioned so far. But, according to Bandai’s European site, Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero will be released for the Xbos X|S Series, Playstation 5 and PC (steam) platforms (no local multiplayer).

It also states that the game will feature a historic number of playable characters, each with signature abilities, transformations, and techniques.

Carrying its legacy from the Budokai Tenkaichi series, players will engage in heart-pounding, high-speed 3D battles that stay true to the anime and video game series, with breathtaking visuals and authentic combat moves like beam clashes, rush attacks, movements too quick for the eyes to see, and planet-razing ultimate attacks.

But what’s different is the arena that reacts to your every action. As the characters transform or unleash their most devastating attacks, watch the environment respond with stunning realism.

Even the very ground will be shaking!

The Japanese version of the website provides additional information by stating that the intense powerup of these characters will have an impact on the weather, wind, and trees.

Moreover, the level of destruction in the environment has significantly increased, with building structures and rocks being obliterated and battle arenas appearing entirely different at the end of the battle.

Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero (Budokai Tenkaichi 4) was first announced on Mar 5, 2023, during the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2023 event.

About Dragon Ball:

Dragon Ball is a manga series by Akira Toriyama. It first began its serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1984.

The manga was later adapted into a multitude of animated series, movies, and games.

The franchise consists of five different anime series, about 21 animated movies, and around 10 games spanning various platforms, from Famicon to Playstation and Xbox.

Synopsis of the Dragon Ball anime:

The story of Dragon Ball follows the life of Son Goku, a monkey-tailed boy loosely based on the traditional Chinese folk tale Journey to the West, from his life and adventures as a child all the way up to being a grandfather.

During his life, he fights many battles and eventually becomes (arguably) the strongest martial artist in the universe. He is not without help, however: the comic boasts a large ensemble cast of martial artist heroes and villains which provide the conflict that drives the story.
