Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc Screening Earns Over US$5 Million On Opening Day

On Saturday, Deadline reported that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Hashira Training- screening has made over US$5.5 million on its opening day in the United States.
Furthermore, it is estimated that the movie will make a total of US$10.8 million in the U.S. this weekend.
The Numbers estimate the film earned US$1.8 million in preview screenings on Thursday and US$5,525,000 combined on Thursday and Friday.
The previous theatrical screening, the first episode of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc in March 2023 made US$10.1 million in its opening weekend.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Hashira Training- movie also made 1 Billion Yen in Japan.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Hashira Training premiered globally on February 21.
The theatrical release includes the final episode of the Swordsmith Village Arc along with the first hour-long episode of the upcoming Hashira Training Arc.
The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hashira Training Arc TV anime will premiere in Japan in the spring of 2024.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge.
It was serialized in Shueisha’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020, with its chapters collected in 23 tankōbon volumes.
The 26-episode first season of Ufotable was broadcast from April to September 2019.
October 2020 saw the release of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train, a sequel that became the highest-grossing anime film and Japanese film of all time.
Demon Slayer entered its second season with 18 episodes, which debuted in October 2021 and concluded in February 2022, covering the Entertainment District arc.
Concurrently, in February 2023, a compilation film titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – To the Swordsmith Village was released.
From April 2023 to June 2023, a third season consisting of eleven episodes was broadcast, showcasing the Swordsmith Village arc.

It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon.
To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself.
Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a “demon slayer” so that he can turn his sister back into a human, and kill the demon that massacred his family.
