“I am very happy to be able to be involved in the TV Anime ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc” as part of the team working on making the opening theme song.
I am hopeful that the song “Mugen,” which I perform with HYDE-san, our teacher and kind senior, will add color and sublimate this effort, while I accept this enormous honor wholeheartedly. We poured our hearts and souls into it, so please listen to it alongside the work.”

Likewise, HYDE shares his thoughts on working on the opening along with MY FIRST STORY:

“I’m HYDE and I’ll be working with MY FIRST STORY on the OP for the TV anime ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc’
The Hashira Training Arc is an important story in which the main characters deepen their bonds and grow stronger between battles, so I hope the music will help to enliven the story.
Please enjoy the music along with the story.”

The production committee of the anime also commented on the arc, telling fans what to look forward to as follows:

“In the Hashira Training arc, the Hashira and the Demon Slayers train hard with their own feelings in mind in preparation for the decisive battle with Kibutsuji Muzan. For this year’s theme song, ufotable suggested that we use twin vocals to express the intentions of Ubuyashiki, the Demon Slayer Corps, and Muzan Kibutsuji, who are engaged in a long battle, and to deliver a song that has a greater affinity with each of them. In the course of various discussions, MY FIRST STORY and HYDE got to know each other and worked together to produce the music as partners to enliven the work. We hope you will enjoy the Hashira Training arc together with the theme song.”

Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc will release in Spring 2024, with a one-hour special episode while the special recap movie, along with the 1st episode of the Hashira Training arc, is set to release in Feb 23, 2024 in Japan.
