Dandadan Volume 23 Cover Revealed and Break Clarified
April Fools might have come too early for some fans. Dandadan Volume 23 is coming soon and we have confirmation that there is no 2026 month-long break for the manga.
On March 29, 2026, we see the cover for Volume 23 of Dandadan, featuring Koki Yukishiro and the yokai race she sees, the Pygmy, around her scarf as the lead, with the previous volume cover lead behind.
The previous volume showed Class Representative Rin Sawaki and her yokai companion Mai Kawabanga while Seiko Ayase of Volume 21 is behind her.
This volume covers the Typhoon Human Arc (Chapter 192: “Departing for Shimane” to Chapter 200: “Everyone’s Whereabouts”), specifically Chapter 193: “You People?!” to Chapter 201: “Here We Are, In Shimane”, the start of the third arc of the Ultimate Yokai Saga, the Shimane Arc (Chapter 201 to Chapter 211: “Who the Heck?”)
The volume will come out on April 3, 2026.
Break Clarification
Furthermore, there has been news about a month-long break that Yukinobu Tatsu is known for doing once a year since 2024.
The first-ever break was from July 30, 2024 after Chapter 163: “Saviors, Don’t Be Late! ” and returned for Chapter 164: “She’s Gone All Little!” on September 3, 2024.
In 2025, he took a month-long break from January 21, 2025 after Chapter 182: “Something’s Taken the Bait” and returned for Chapter 183: “So It’s You!” on February 25, 2025
Shuhei Lin, editor of Dandadan and Chainsaw Man, clarified that there is no break next week and the notice for the month-long break was simply an error.
