Crunchyroll Teases Demon Slayer World Tour To Hit India! Japanese Voice Actors And Staff To Engage With Indian Fans Soon!

Apart from Makoto Shinkai, there was never a case a prominent member of the anime industry from Japan to visit India.

Indian anime fans are in for a treat in 2024! Not only is the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba—To the Hashira Training—anime film hitting Indian theatres soon, but the Global World Tour, featuring famed voice actors of Tanjiro, Zenitsu and the producers of the show, is teased to visit India, apart from other selected countries.

That’s right! According to Crunchyroll’s coverage of the movie’s global release dates, it explicitly stated that an India World Tour stop date will be announced at a later date.

The original announcement of the tour also stated that it would start in Japan and visit 140 countries.

What’s exciting about the World Tour is the original Japanese voice actors of Tanjiro (Natsuki Hanae), Zenitsu (Hiro Shimono), Giyu Tomioka (Takahiro Sakurai), Muichirō Tokitō (Kengo Kawanishi) and show producer Yuma Takahashi are visiting each country the Tour is taking them.

That means, Indian fans will have the huge opportunity to meet these voice actors for the first time! Apart from Makoto Shinkai, there was never a case a prominent member of the anime industry from Japan to visit India.

Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc will release in Spring 2024, with a one-hour special episode while the special recap movie, along with the 1st episode of the Hashira Training arc, is set to release in Feb 23, 2024 in Japan.

About Demon Slayer:

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge. It was serialized in Shueisha’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020, with its chapters collected in 23 tankōbon volumes.

The 26-episode 1st season by Ufotable was broadcast from April to September 2019. October 2020 saw the release of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train, a sequel that became the highest-grossing anime film and Japanese film of all time.

Demon Slayer entered its second season with 18 episodes, which debuted in October 2021 and concluded in February 2022, covering the Entertainment District arc. Concurrently, in February 2023, a compilation film titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – To the Swordsmith Village was released. From April 2023 to June 2023, a third season consisting of eleven episodes was broadcast, showcasing the Swordsmith Village arc.

Crunchyroll describes the overall plot of Demon Slayer as follows:

It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself. Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a “demon slayer” so that he can turn his sister back into a human, and kill the demon that massacred his family.
