Choujin X Volume 15 Introduces The New Witch
The latest volume reinvents Ely Otta’s identity as she bears the Mark of the Beast and determine the future of the world as the new Choujin X.
On January 22, 2026, we received a first look at the cover for Choujin X Volume 15, featuring the female protagonist, Ely Otta.
This ends the pattern of key players in the finale of the previous arc, with Volume 13’s Batista as the usurper of Zora’s Mark and Volume 14’s Nari as the assassin of Mado’s death.
Ely here is draped in an orange hue, as if basking in a heavenly glow while looking at the Mark of the Beast, which is floating in blue flame.
By the end of the Zora Extermination Arc, Ely has received the Mark from Batista Hoshi, who had passed away after the defeat of Nue.
This makes her the new generation Witch and the potential leader of a new movement of Choujin, standing between the anti-Keeper faction that killed Mado and the Yamato Mori Keepers who were left without a leader.
Like her fellow protagonists, we see a change in their positions and appearances, with Azuma in Volume 11 evolving into Queem’s copy, a topic for the volume after, and Tokio in Volume 12 sleeping alone, likely foreshadowing events in this volume where he would lose his sister and father, his whole family.
Volume 15 will be 196 pages long and cover Chapter 68: “A Cloud Beyond the Windowpane” (three parts, 107 pages) and Chapter 69: “The Witch” (two parts, 87 pages)
This volume will be released on February 19, 2026.
As of August 19, 2025 it was announced that the series had a total of 2,200,000 copies in circulation from Volumes 1-13.
