Chainsaw Man’s Most Anticipated Arc Now in Production
Chainsaw Man’s most hyped arc gets an unexpected teaser as Season 2 is officially starting production
On December 21, 2025, for Jump Festa 2026, Chainsaw Man and MAPPA have revealed a teaser for the upcoming Season 2 anime, titled, “International Assassins Arc”.
This is an adaptation of what fans consider the best arc in Part 1 of Chainsaw Man’s manga, which covers Chapter 53: “In a Dream” to Chapter 70: “Pinch” for a total of 18 chapters.
Beyond the “International Assassins Arc”, Season 2 will likely finish Part 1 or the Public Safety Saga covering the first 97 chapters of the Chainsaw Man manga.
Previously, it was leaked that Chainsaw Man Season 2 had already started production as far back as September 10th.
The first half of the trailer shows Makima in an empty movie theater watching multiple shadows walking past her.
These silhouettes represent the four Assassins and their accomplices.
We then cut to the anime adaptation of the cover of Volume 7, showing Denji chained by entrails and the faces of the four Assassins, from left to right:
Tolna’s Master (Soviet Union), Eldest Brother (United States of America), Quanxi (China), and Santa Claus (Germany)
With Santa Claus, we transition to Denji being chained by entrails, signifying Santa Claus as a puppet like how Makima treats DEnji.
The accomplices include:
Tolna (accompanying his Master)
Aldo and Joey (with their Eldest Brother)
Quanxi’s Fiends (Pingtsi, Long, Cosmo the Cosmos Fiend and Tsugihagi)
A key difference from the anime key visual and volume cover is the positioning of the Assassins, being behind Denji rather than on the left side being separated by the entrail cuffs.
We also see the notable inclusion of Makima’s concentric eyes behind Denji, first in red background akin to the colors of the movie theater, then turning green with the presence of the Assassins.
There is no confirmed date for Chainsaw Man Season 2 and with both Hell’s Paradise Season 2 and Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 airing on the same Winter 2026 season, it is likely to see this earliest Fall 2026 or by 2027.
For Jump Festa, author Tatsuki Fujimoto drew Denji as Chainsaw Man.
Recently, Chainsaw Man – Reze Arc: The Movie has been a success, reaching a total of $ 175 million in the worldwide box office, contributing to the most viewed and liked anime-related tweet, and being eligible for the Oscars alongside Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1: Akaza’s Return.
The movie is currently released digitally after a 3-month run in theaters worldwide.
Chainsaw Man’s manga has sold over 33 million copies worldwide.
