On June 24, 2025, Chainsaw Man would reveal the cover for Volume 21, which would be released on July 4, 2025.

The cover features the real Fami, the Famine Devil, who was initially assumed to be the Death Devil when she first appeared.

The cover has Famine holding flowers and is colored in mauve pink, a color for youth and femininity, as well as the spring.

June marks the end of spring and the beginning of summer in Japan, which fits the presence of a bush behind her.

There is a nice sequence in the background as there is a bloody red sky over the dead tree to color it red but directly next to Famine is a pale green bush, showing the process from front to back of Famine’s abilities.

These are colors in contrast to each other, the green bush is the vitality that Famine absorbs while the red is the color of blood and life, which is extracted from the now dead tree.

Roses further add to the symbolism as they have thorns that prick and hurt, which could also tie to Fami’s nature as someone good-natured but whose actions always and inevitably hurt others.

Titled “Barf!”, this volume covers Chapter 187, the title chapter, up until Chapter 198: “It’s Fami!” for a total of 12 chapters and 192 pages of content in total.
