The official YouTube Channel of the One Piece franchise, on Oct 13, 2023, uploaded a whole anime episode for limited-time only!
ONE PIECE FILM STRONG WORLD: Episode 0 OVA episode, a bonus content of FILM STRONG WORLD, is NOW AVAILABLE on the channel for three months until January 14. This was done to celebrate the rerun of “ONE PIECE FILM RED” in Japan.
However, keep in mind that the video does not have English subtitles.
According to the description of the video, “EPISODE:0” is a short anime episode based on the manga “Episode 0” included in “ONE PIECE Volume 0”, a bonus for theater viewers of “FILM STRONG WORLD”. The story reveals the past of the legendary pirate “Shiki,” who appears in the movie for the first time.
The OVA episode depicts the fight between Gol D. Roger and Gold Lion Shiki prior to the beginning of the Golden Age of Piracy following Roger’s execution and focuses on the time when Gold Lion Shiki was active as Roger’s competitor, which includes a younger Garp and Sengoku. Shiki wants Roger to join the scheme, but the future King of the Pirates refuses, and thus their crews clash.
The anime is based on “volume 0” of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece manga, which was distributed to One Piece: Strong World moviegoers. One Piece: Strong World is the 10th film in the One Piece franchise, and it opened in Japan in December 2009.

The latest entry in the franchise, One Piece Film Red, premiered in Japan in August 2022.
