Bungo Stray Dogs Season 5 Second Trailer, Release Date, OP And ED Themes Artists Unveiled

The trailer confirmed that Bungo Stray Dogs Season 5 will begin airing from July 12, 2023.

The official website of Bungo Stray Dogs anime revealed the 2nd trailer and the titles & artists of the opening and ending themes for Season 5 on June 1, 2023.

The new trailer features the main cast of the Armed Detective Agency and the Port Mafia as they tackle a new foe, who framed our heroes as terrorists, capturing Osamu Dazai in the process.

The trailer confirmed that Bungo Stray Dogs Season 5 will begin airing from July 12, 2023. 

The opening theme “Tetsu no Ori” will be performed by the one and only GRANRODEO. GRANRODEO, who have sung the OP theme song for the first season “TRASH CANDY“, the “DEAD APPLE” film version and the third season, will continue to do so for the fifth season!

The album will be released on 30 August (Wed) in three versions: a limited first edition disc, a standard disc and an anime disc with an illustration drawn by ‘Bungo Stray Dogs’ on the cover.

The ending theme “Kiseki” will be performed by Luck Life, who have been with the anime consistently, singing the ending themes for all of their season so far (Season 1 – “Namae wo Yobu yo (名前を呼ぶよ)” , Season 2 –  “Kaze ga Fuku Machi (風が吹く街)”, Season 3 – “Lily”, Dead Apple – “Bokura (僕ら)”, Season 4 – “Shirushi (しるし)” ).

2 months ago, the 1st trailer for Bungo Stray Dogs Season 5 was released along with a key visual.

The anime is an adaptation of Kafkla Asagiri and Sango Haurkawa’s manga Bungo Stay Dogs. The manga was launched in Young Ace on December 2012. it is produced by Bones, directed by Takuya Igarashi, and written by Yoji Enokido.

The first season of the anime aired from April 2016 to June 2016. Soon after the second season aired from October 2016 to December 2016. The third season aired from April 2019 to June 2019. All three seasons ran for 12 episodes each.

The manga and novel series are published in English by Yen Press.

Synopsis for Season 4 of the anime is as follows:

No longer concerned with military affairs, Yukichi Fukuzawa intends to act as a lone bodyguard-for-hire, making use of his deadly swordsmanship. However, things are not going as planned for his freelance business, and that is when he crosses paths with a mouthy boy named Ranpo Edogawa. While their initial interactions are intertwined with a bizarre murder mystery, the aftermath prompts the formation of the Armed Detective Agency.

Presently, Ranpo finds himself chasing down a gifted individual with the dangerous ability to execute the perfect crime. But as the great detective unravels the case, he soon discovers an elaborate plot to obliterate the Agency in its entirety.

Although forewarned of the trap, the Agency continue their pursuit of the criminals, only to end up framed for the crime themselves. Now branded as wanted terrorists, the remaining members must find a way to prove their innocence—even if they must turn to sworn enemies for assistance.
