Bandai Namco Announces English Dub Cast For Gundam Seed Freedom Film
On April 5, tickets went on sale.
The Mobile Suit Gundam Seed FREEDOM film’s English dub cast was unveiled by Bandai Namco Filmworks on Friday.
The movie will be screened in the United States and Canada on May 7-8 by the firm and Fathom Events.
On May 7, the movie will be shown in both nations in Japanese with English subtitles; on May 8, it will be shown in the United States with an English dub.
On April 5, tickets went on sale.
The English dub cast includes:
- Max Mittelman as Kira Yamato
- Stephanie Sheh as Lacus Clyne
- Kieran Regan as Shinn Asuka
- Alyson Leigh Rosenfeld as Lunamaria Hawke
- Kelly Baskin as Agnes Giebenrath
- Ben Balmaceda as Albert Heinlein
- Chris Hackney as Athrun Zala
- Cherami Leigh as Cagalli Yula Athha
- Lizzie Freeman as Aura Maha Khyber
- Alejandro Saab as Orphee Lam Tao
- Zeno Robinson as Shura Serpentine
- Ama Lee as Ingri Tradoll
Some of the cast members from the NYAV Post English version of the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed and Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny anime are back in the English dub.
The director of the picture, Mitsuo Fukuda, will give a video message during the showings.
The film’s English-subtitled U.S. premieres were held on March 31 in Los Angeles and New York City at Bandai Namco Filmworks.
On April 1, the Japan Society also screened the English-dubbed version.
Japan premiered the movie on January 26. There are plans to screen the movie in 56 nations and territories.
The movie project is a component of the 2021-announced Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Project development effort.
The project, which has multiple components, honours the 20th anniversary of the original Mobile Suit Gundam Seed anime in 2022.
A brand-new Mobile Suit Gundam Seed game and the side-story manga for Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Eclipse are also part of the programme.
Mitsuo Fukuda, the director of Mobile Suit Gundam Seed, directed the movie at Bandai Namco Filmworks.
Along with Liu Goto and his late wife Chiaki Morosawa, Fukuda co-wrote the script. Character design by Hisashi Hirai (Mobile Suit Gundam Seed).
