On October 15, Shonen Jump’s official Youtube channel released the framed manga trailer for Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata’s hit manga Bakuman.
The same creative team was behind another hit manga, Death Note.
Shonen Jump released the video in celebration of the 15th anniversary of the manga.
Bakuman began its serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on August 11, 2008. The series ran until April 23, 2012.
It also received a complete anime adaptation of 75 episodes. The anime aired from October 2, 2010, to March 30, 2013.
On October 3, 2015, a live-action film adaptation was also released in Japan. Viz Media has released the entire manga in English and describes the first volume as:
Moritaka is hesitant to seriously consider Akito’s proposal because he knows how difficult reaching the professional level can be.
Still, encouragement from persistent Akito and motivation from his crush push Moritaka to test his limits!
