Ao Ashi Season 2 Trailer Finally Out!
After 4 years, Ao Ashi returns with Season 2 with a new, fresher coat of paint.
On March 12, 2026, a trailer and key visual for the new Ao Ashi season has arrived, 4 years after the first anime season ended in 2022.
From Production IG, this second season will be handled by TMS Entertainment, the studio behind Sakamoto Days.
Along with the trailer release is confirmation that the manga has sold over 25 million copies throughout its 40 volumes.

Series Composition: Masahiro Yokotani
Music: Masaru Yokoyama
Character Design: Asami Taguchi, Junko Yamanaka and Manabu Nakatake
Sound Director: Shōji Hata
The current director, Kazuki Yokoyama, directed Episodes 17 and 18.
Yokotani returns as scriptwriter, while Masaru Yokoyama (no relation to the director) returns as composer, having previously done work for Your Lie in April, and Horimiya and recently, Mashle: Magic and Muscles.
The character design has been not completely changed due to the presence of Manabu Nakatake, who worked on Season 1.
There are two new designers with him:
Junko Yamanaka is a notable presence due to being the character designer behind the Detective Conan films
Asami Taguchi has done character design for Lupin Zero (2022)
