Ao Ashi Season 2 CONFIRMED After Three Years!
Ao Ashi is set to make its big return after 3 years without word on a second season but not everything is good news.
On April 23, 2025, it was revealed that the big announcement on May 2 is about the coming of the Season 2 anime.
The first season came out in 2022, directed by Akira Satō and produced by Production IG, known for the hit volleyball anime, Haikyuu.
This aired from April to September 2022 for a total of 24 episodes and adapting the first 131 chapters of the manga, which has now reached over 400 chapters.
On April 29, 2025, we also got confirmation that the anime will be slated for a 2026 release.
In honor of the announcement, we receive a key visual of the protagonist Ashito.
However, the studio to handle the adaptation will be TMS Entertainment.
TMS Entertainment is the studio behind Dr. Stone and Sakamoto Days, the latter receiving much backlash about its production schedule and lack of striking visuals to match its impressive manga counterpart.
While there is no word on any staff changes, this is to be expected when there is a studio transfer, especially as the anime had not been in production for over three years.
