anohana received its first stage play in February 2021.

The anime premiered in April 2011. Later, the anime received a manga, a sequel movie in 2013, and a live-action special in 2015.

In October 2017, Aniplex of America distributed the English dubbed version of the anime series in a Blu-ray Disc box set.

During the same month, the dubbed version became available for streaming exclusively on Verizon’s go90 service.

Later in June 2019, Netflix started streaming the series, offering both the English dubbed version and subtitles.

The television anime was licensed and released by NIS America in 2012 and subsequently in 2013.

Aniplex of America collaborated with Eleven Arts to showcase the film in American theaters and later made it available on Blu-ray Disc and DVD.

Crunchyroll provided online streaming of the anime in 2012, including the live-action special. In January 2020, Crunchyroll initiated streaming of the dubbed version.

Funimation, on the other hand, began streaming the series in August 2020.
