Jujutsu Kaisen: Did Gojo Come Back to Life Twice?

Chapter 261 of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga saw the return of possibly the most important character of the manga, scaring the living hell out of Sukuna and the fans alike!

The revival of Gojo, during the climax of the fight, was a plot twist people didn’t see coming! So, is he really alive?

Did Gojo Revive After Sukuna Killed Him?

As much as the fans want to believe in it, it seems like Gege Akutami has no plans to bring Gojo back.

After Gojo’s death at the hands of Sukuna, his students took to dealing with Sukuna.

At the start, Yuta decided to take care of Kenjaku, the real mastermind who was the cause of nearly all of their problems.

While Yuji, Choso, and others fought Sukuna, Yuta was nowhere to be found. After Choso’s death, Todo’s interference, and much more, Yuta was still nowhere to be found.

Suddenly, we see Gojo return in chapter 260, hinting that he’s back to life!

Since Gojo’s supposed death, fans have been believing that Gojo never truly died as Sukuna didn’t sever his head, the same mistake that Toji made.

Fans also believed that Shoko and Yuta would sacrifice themselves by performing an extensive RCT to bring back Gojo.

However, the truth is that Yuta simply copied Kenjaku’s cursed technique before killing him! However, the plan isn’t failproof.

Yuta can only can take control of his sensei’s body and fight for 5 minutes. What happens to him after those five minutes is unknown.

But as Mei Mei notes in chapter 261, there are still doubts about Yuta’s ability to withstand the ordeal. There is a lack of information regarding the precise workings of Kenjaku’s Cursed Technique, including whether it must be employed once for the transfer or at frequent intervals.

Concern should be expressed about the first two scenarios since Yuta can only utilize a cloned Cursed Technique for five minutes at a time, and if he has to reactivate Kenjaku’s Cursed Technique in order to keep his soul in Gojo’s body, he might not survive.

Fans can, however, be certain that Yuta will still be able to use Copy while in Gojo’s body because Kenjaku has been demonstrated to be able to use the Cursed Techniques of his past hosts, including Kaori Itadori, when in Geto’s body.

This implies that Yuta can probably continue to use Limitless and the several cursed techniques he has imitated, making his current form the pinnacle of jujutsu proficiency.
