Blue Lock Season 3 OFFICIALLY IN PRODUCTION!

After a year with no progress to report, Blue Lock Season 3 has confirmed that production is properly underway, potentially hinting at a 2027 release.

On October 5, 2026, taken from the release of Chapter 364: “All-In”, it was announced that Blue Lock Season 3 is currently in production.

Season 3 was first greenlit on September 29, 2025, during the “Blue Lock Egoist Festa 2025” fan event in Tokyo.

It has been more than a year since this update, with the most recent ones coming in the form of June 8th’s key visual.

Right now, it looks like production has properly begun as Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine adds this to the announcement of the chapter and its short length due to artist Yusuke Nomura’s illness.

This news could hint at a late 2027 release at the earliest.

The season could cover the first portion of the Neo-Egoist League Arc, the longest arc in Blue Lock and sports manga history, covering from Chapter 152: “Restart”, released on November 17, 2021, up to Chapter 302: “It’s Fine” on May 13, 2025, for a total of 150 chapters and 3 and a half years.

However, the new season will start at Chapter 150: “Holiday” and if it follows a traditional cour structure, this could adapt all the way up to Chapter 205: “Man of the Match” for a total of 55 chapters, concluding the match between Bastard Munchen (Isagi’s team) and Manshine City (Reo and Nagi’s team).

8bit is still the studio in charge, which made fans worry due to the disappointing, lackluster and under-animated Season 2 adaptation, which had 14 episodes, covering the Third Selection and U-20 Arcs (Chapters 95-149).

Blue Lock has sold 65 million copies as of August 17, 2026.
