Sakamoto Days Nears 20 Million Sales Milestone Before Finale
With two volumes remaining, Sakamoto Days is poised to reach the 20 million target by the end of the year.
On July 31, 2026, it was announced that Sakamoto Days has reached 18 million copies sold worldwide after 28 volumes.
Previously on August 2025, Sakamoto Days sold 15 million copies, meaning that on average, the manga sells 3 million copies annually.
This would add up somewhat with the measurements from 2024 and 2025 best-selling manga list, with Sakamoto Days selling 1.3 million copies.
We are seeing some of the delayed impact from the anime, alongside the premiere of its live-action film on April 2026, which grossed $16.4 million in domestic Japanese box office listings.
With two volumes remaining, Sakamoto Days is poised to reach the 20 million target by the end of the year.
