1st Prince BENJAMIN BECOMES A GOD! Hunter x Hunter Chapter 413 Spoilers!

In the previous Hunter x Hunter chapter, Kurapika exposes the truth behind Woble, that the baby in the Black Whale is a boy, Oito’s nephew and a false 14th Prince. Meanwhile, Beyond Netero reads Kakin legal documents in preparation to argue for his 1047 lawsuits against Kakin and its human rights violations.

Hunter x Hunter Chapter 413 is titled, “Loyalty”

This chapter has 19 pages.

Editor’s note: “Prince Halkenburg’s funeral… where is the coffin headed to?”

30 Minutes before the declaration of Special Martial Law.

The chapter begins at 1:45 PM, with Halkenburg’s coffin reaching the Tree of Kakin, where Nasubi witnesses him joining the other deceased Princes.

Recall that the following Princes died in this order.

12th Prince Momoze– strangled in her sleep by her bodyguard Tuffdy, who worked for the 5th Queen and 8th Prince Sale Sale

8th Prince Sale Sale– killed by Yushosi, one of 1st Prince Benjamin’s men, with his Nen ability, “Stand by Me” (a needle ball that incubates in a target to kill them after an unknown period), immediately after Rihan (another of Benjamin’s guards) used Predator to devour Salé-salé’s Guardian Spirit Beast.

10th Prince Kacho– died in a failed escape attempt by virtue of the Succession War Vows and Limitations. Her Guardian Spirit Beast takes her form in public.

9th Prince Halkenburg– his body died when Halkenburg swapped places with 1st Prince Benjamin’s right-hand, Balsamilco.

Of the lower ranked Princes, only Kacho’s twin, 11th Prince Fugetsu and 13th Prince Marayam are left.

Nasubi’s butler, Nugui, remarks that the flame of life inside Halkenburg has not gone out.

Meanwhile, Halkenburg is changing his plans.

While yes he is in the body of Benjamin’s closest aide Balsamilco, Halk knows right away that if they ever meet face to face, Benjamin would sus him out right away just from his behavior and manner of speech.

But Benjamin is already two steps ahead of his little bro because he has the entire place surrounded by his goons.

He already knows about Halk’s Nen ability to switch bodies based on what happened to his men before. 

But before Benjamin could make a move, all of a sudden, he is barfing and feeling feverish. 

Turns out, he already got the virus.

But Balsamilco, or rather Halkenburg, never got the chance to do it.

They have yet to meet.

So Benjamin rushes to get the TSK-17 and he finds one vial missing.

This is the vial Balsamilco took in Chapter 402 in preparation to assassinate Halkenburg.

Now Benjamin retraces his steps and realizes that there was only one person who would bypass his thorough security checks.

His mom.

Yes, 1st Queen Unma finally picked a favorite out of her three sons and it was the good boy Halkenburg all along.

We could see that when the twist of their relationship was revealed in Chapter , as if there was a hint of favoritism in her voice.

So yes, Unma had someone smuggle the virus to give it to a traitor.

And Benjamin comes to the conclusion that the guy who did this was Furykov.

This guy was cocky but arguably the most loyal of the bunch outside Balsamilco

You could see that devotion when he arrested 2nd Prince Camilla for using a gun and broke her arm to stop her from resisting him.

Camilla threatened to kill his whole family but Furykov says that Benjamin was his only family.

Also, one tiny detail Togashi left here was that when Furykov arrested Camilla, he was with Wolfe, Unma’s bodyguard sent to spy on other Princes and was ordered by Benjamin to be his bodyguard, although that guy got killed so we would forget he is important.

Except he is one little, insignificant clue to Furykov’s true loyalties.

But still, why would a guy who lives only to serve Benjamin want to end his life?

Turns out, nothing really changed for Furykov.

Because bro was really devoted to the nation of Kakin and to Benjamin himself.

His goal was not to actually kill Benjamin per se.

His real goal was to sabotage 1st Queen Unma and Halkenburg’s victory

While also exploiting the mission of his father, Beyond Netero.

He opens his mouth like how Longhi did, showing a shadowed eye at the back of his throat, the form of Beyond Netero’s curse.

So Furykov explains the curse, that it is triggered upon his death and nearly impossible to lift.

Unma already knew about Beyond’s plans and forced Furykov to make a choice.

Kill Benjamin within 48 hours or let Beyond kill Furykov first.

But Furykov wasn’t scared for his life or even not killing a Prince.

Beyond’s curse actually erases the abilities of a Prince’s Guardian Spirit Beast and since Furykov loves Benjamin so much, he wanted to avoid that happening.

The only way Furykov can be rid of Beyond’s Curse is a “Curse Back”, to reflect the curse so it rebounds on the parasite, that is to say Furkov himself.

So Furykov NEEDED to kill Benjamin rather than use Beyond Netero’s curse.

But wait, that still means Benjamin and his Guardian Spirit Beast would die.

Except Benjamin knows what Furykov is talking about and it has to do with the latter’s Nen ability: Combo Master.

Combo Master is a Specialization ability that lets him create combat gear to either destroy his target’s ability or buff it but he needs time to stay close to his target and read it.

In this case, Furykov was reading Benjamin’s Guardian Spirit Beast

This explains why Benjamin was wearing a bullet proof vest.

In the event he dies while wearing that vest, he can fuse his spirit to his Guardian Spirit Beast, becoming an IMMORTAL Guardian Deity over the Kakin Empire

And Benjamin won’t lose all the Nen powers he has gained from the sacrifices of his men because his Nen ability, Benjamin Baton, will become one with his Guardian Spirit Beast.

One of the abilities Benjamin Baton absorbed was Shikaku’s Culdcept, which allows the user to convert the enemy’s Nen ability into a card

And while Shikaku failed to steal Halkenburg’s swapping arrow, Benjamin will not fail next time.

If he meets Halkenburg, Tserriednich or any of the other Princes, he could gobble up their own Nen Beasts, which could potentially BREAK the Succession War altogether.

Don’t forget he also has Furykov’s Combo Master.

He could make a second combat vest out of another Guardian Spirit Beast.

Who knows.

Benjamin’s potential is ENDLESS NOW.

And it’s insane to think about it.

A rando like Furykov OUTSMARTED BEYOND NETERO.

Without the Succession War within his control, he would lose access to the God Nen he needed for the Dark Continent trip.

Benjamin would monopolize that power, without all the convoluted Vows and Limitations of the Succession War that Beyond Netero was banking on.

We do not know what Benjamin’s Guardian Spirit Beast can do but Balsamilco said it is worthy of the next king.

If Benjamin was given the most overpowered Guardian Spirit Beast and that Beast would fuse to his Benjamin Baton, which has the powers of his men and two trump cards that can steal Guardian Spirit Beasts.

Benjamin’s plan WILL COMPLETELY REPLACE THE SEED URN CEREMONY.

Even if Benjamin dies, as long as he kills every other Prince, he will rule Kakin forever, beyond the limits of royalty or a human lifespan.

His child will be the winner, as intended, and bear Benjamin as his Guardian Spirit Beast, a father who will forever watch over his child, his future grandchildren, and gain the power of a TRUE NEN GOD.

A centuries-long sacred war to painstakingly create the god who will unite the world under Kakin.

This sounds familiar

That’s because these are similar words used by Meruem himself when talking about how human and Chimera Ant evolution all led to his birth.

But Meruem was just the setup.

Benjamin is the fulfillment of Meruem’s destiny.

Meruem is East Gorteaunese for “the light that illuminates all”

Benjamin, in Hebrew, is “son of the right hand”, or “son of my old age”, a fitting name for the youngest son but Hunter x Hunter is a story of inversion and in this case, Benjamin is the eldest son and he will become his child’s Guardian Spirit Beast, subverting the father-son dynamic entirely.

Now we finally return to the present day, at 2:15 PM where Benjamin declares Special Martial Law.

He justifies this extreme measure, saying that 4th Prince Tserriednich and 9th Prince Halkenburg have conspired together to deploy a weapon of mass destruction that would kill everyone in the Black Whale.

Of course, all of this is a lie but people would buy it.

They would be confused about their feelings regarding the recently deceased Halkenburg, who was arguably the most beloved Kakin Prince worldwide while at the same time restrain the movements of everyone on the boat, including the Princes and even Beyond Netero himself.

However, Benjamin tells his men not to lay their hands on the Hunter Association.

It is clear he does not want any outsider interference, so he is avoiding any provocation.

Benjamin also wants to make sure his men keep the true power of his Guardian Spirit Beast a secret from the 1st Queen Unma’s faction, so Halkenburg or Tserriednich do not get in the way.

In his order, Benjamin tells the soldiers they should not be brutal when capturing the Princes.

Make it look like they are under “protective custody”, which in reality will bring them all together for a royal massacre.

He wants six Princes, not including Fugetsu and Halkenburg, in Room 1001 by 2:30 PM.

One issue is that 13th Prince Marayam is hidden in a Nen dimension thanks to her Guardian Spirit Beast but it is possible that news of the Special Martial Law could reach him.

If the kid does not show up, he will send Rhian to force him into the room along with the other Princes. 

We have 15 minutes before that happens and in that time, he has to spy on two problem Princes:

Camilla and Tserriednich.

Benjamin uses Musse’s Secret Window, a Nen ability that lets him spy on people using different types of Nen birds: one for eavesdropping on conversations even through doors and walls, and the Owl, transmits what the target is saying and doing to the user.

Benjamin is peeping on his sister Camilla’s post-breakfast massage, meaning bro was probably also feeling that massage too.

Benjamin intends to overuse Secret Window so it can evolve so he can rewind and view the exact footage Musse was watching right up until the moment he died to figure out the full extent of Camilla’s powers.

 So far, he knows Camilla is a Counter-type and that if she is killed, her post-mortem Nen activates, stealing the life energy of her assailant to resurrect herself.

As for Tserriednich, he originally wants to torture him limb from limb but since he is dying, he needs to kill him fast.

Hunter x Hunter’s Succession War is heading dangerously close to an unexpected climax.

Benjamin is about to replace the whole Succession War.

And Kurapika is headed for Beyond Netero

Regardless, all these parties will be forced to meet up in 15 minutes.

It sounds like Benjamin has a full-proof plan.

He can gain godhood unchallenged by anyone if he kills the Princes.

But there is one possibility he did not count on.

Chrollo Lucilfer.

He is looking for a Nen user using Love Dial 6700 and he says they could be in the higher tiers.

We previously theorized his target could be Kurapika or Morena but recent events seem to indicate that the ideal partner Chrollo is looking for is someone who is basically about to be born TODAY

And that person is 1st Prince Benjamin.

In a few hours, Benjamin will die and replace the Seed Urn, which happens to be one of the three Sacred Treasures Chrollo needs to take Skill Hunter to the next level.

If somehow Chrollo fulfills his conditions, he would acquire God Nen and that hax ability will INSTAKILL HISOKA to settle their grudge once and for all.

And if he and Kurapika ever meet again, well it is GG for him.
