Brook Loses His Home! Is Esperia Thriller Bark Confirmed? One Piece Chapter 1185 Early Spoilers!

A mysterious fog responsible for the death of music and the destruction of a kingdom overnight…sounds quite similar to any One Piece fan. Is it coincidence that Brook would return to the very kingdom he lost 50 years later?

ABD x ONE PIECE © 1997 by Eiichiro Oda/SHUEISHA Inc.

In the previous One Piece chapter, we got a look into Brook’s childhood, how Rueven and Candelle saved him from corrupt Marines and gave him a new home and life.

One Piece Chapter 1185 covers the tail-end of Brook’s life as a citizen of the Kingdom of Esperia.

The official preview is as follows:

“Brook in his younger days!? Elbaph Arc reaches its climax!!”

NOTE: These spoilers are from Alexis2282AE on WorstGen, so take all the information with a grain of salt.

It seems that the Brook flashback arc will only last half a volume’s worth of content, much, much less than the Elbaph flashback, the longest in One Piece history with a whopping 19 chapters.

Candelle is Innocent??

The chapter begins with a montage of Brook’s past when he was still Candelle’s apprentice.

We see her training him in both swordsmanship and proper etiquette.

Right after that, another montage highlights Brook’s close relationship and deep friendship with Shuri.

We also see Candelle confiding in Brook, telling him that she loves Prince Luven, but she is completely content just serving as his loyal royal guard.

Oh poor Brook. you missed your shot with an older woman.

Imu’s Daughter??

The scene then shifts to a World Government ship, accompanied by a Celestial Dragon, arriving at the Kingdom of Esperia.

Following this visit, Candelle falls seriously ill for a long time, causing a great deal of concern and sadness throughout the entire kingdom.

Judging from this, Candelle feels more like a victim than a conspirator with the World Government.

There is a lot of vagueness behind this, if the text is accurate but it sounds like the Celestial Dragon is probably a Holy Knight, perhaps Candelle’s superior as she was likely a plant.

And yet she was not there to directly usurp the Kingdom.

Maybe she was always meant to be a disposable pawn, transmitting Imu’s essence into her somehow, although the seeds would be planted in the next 14 years.

Actually, what if Candelle was meant to create a vessel for Imu to inhabit through this process?

This part does raise doubts as in the hints from the previous One Piece chapter made mention of Candelle meeting the Five Elders and leaving Brook in charge, which never happened at all.

Once Candelle finally recovers, Luven announces his engagement to her.

Another World Government Op

However, a mysterious fog later engulfs the entire kingdom for years, damaging the citizens’ health and corroding the musical instruments that sustained the nation’s economy.

Because of this, Esperia’s economy eventually collapses, leaving them unable to pay the Celestial Tribute.

This prompts the World Government to step in and demand their citizens be made as slaves instead.

Luven refuses to back down and chooses to resist, waging a war against the World Government’s forces that ends with the kingdom being consumed by flames.

When Brook finally rushes to the palace, he is shocked to find Shuri stabbing Luven.

The last double-page spread reveals that both Luven and Shuri possess devil wings and horns, implying that they are under the effect of Domi Reversi.

Just like with Loki killing Harald, things are not what they seem but this time, it looks like Rueven will be the one to die as Shuri will go on to become Gunko, Imu’s brainwashed servant.

Break Next Week?

Unfortunately due to the unexpected break in the previous week, this means that there will be a BREAK NEXT WEEK.

One Piece Chapter 1186 will be released on June 29, 2026.
