Chainsaw Man Reaches 36 Million Sales Before Final Volume Release

A month before Volume 24 is set to release, Chainsaw Man gets another one million sales in after 3 months.

On May 13, 2026, it was announced that after 23 volumes, Chainsaw Man has sold 36 million copies.

The series was clocked at 35 million copies sold on February 1st, a month before the series’ ending.

The final volume is set to release on June 4, 2026.

About Chainsaw Man

Chainsaw Man is the hit manga written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto, who previous authored Fire Punch (2016-2018) and has done multiple one-shot manga throughout his career, including Look Back, which received a highly-acclaimed anime movie adaptation in June 2024.

Published in December 3, 2018, Chainsaw Man began serialization at Weekly Shonen Jump before moving to the Shonen Jump Plus app and website for Part 2 on July 13, 2022.

Chainsaw Man is a manga divided into two parts or sagas, Part 1 that was released from December 3, 2018 to December 14, 2020 while Part 2 began in July 13, 2022 and ended on March 24, 2026, for a total of 232 chapters and 24 volumes.

Chainsaw Man tells the story of Denji, an impoverished youth, who gains the powers of a devil and becomes Chainsaw Man, the target of many devils who seek his heart.

Chainsaw Man’s anime sequel is currently in production, covering the International Assassins Arc.
