AOI TODO Got the BEST ENDING. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Epilogue!
Modulo’s true ending takes the form of a short epilogue, confirming that Aoi Todo is living his best, freest life yet.
In the previous Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo volume, we got some details on the Simurian culture and on the ever-popular mystery behind Chiharu Miyaguni, who may or may not be Yuji’s daughter.
Unlike Volume 2, Volume 3 has a ton of content but a much shorter “epilogue” or special chapter, with only 4 pages of content.
The chapter is titled, “Special Chapter: Aoi Todo”
The chapter begins with Maru, Yuka and Tsurugi sitting together, with Tsurugi checking his watch to research on what a vibraslap is.
We know where this is going.
Yuka suggests buying one from the internet but Tsurugi says he needs it right now and intends to go to Miyaguni herself.
Yuka looks forward to seeing how Miyaguni will exploit him.
However, when he gets to Miyaguni’s office (faculty office like Gojo’s?), she reveals that she intends to give it to her master, who has returned to Japan after a long time away.
Jujutsu High and New Shadow Style School Relations

Now we get an interesting detail, where Tsurugi is surprised that the person in question is a “master”, not a teacher and that it is the first time he knew Miyaguni or maybe anyone had a master outside the formal system of either the New Shadow Style School for Simple Domain or Jujutsu High.
This could mean that Miyaguni is a New Shadow Style School teacher like Kusakabe and that was now she taught Tsurugi the te
This image of Tsurugi and Miyaguni doing New Shadow Style: Maculation together confirms that the person who trained Tsurugi in New Shadow Style is not Usami but Miyaguni.
Modulo has a lot of open room for expansion, which hopefully an anime adaptation could actually do.
Anyway.
Keep in mind that Ui-Ui is the current head after Atsuya Kusakabe, who should be dead by now.
So in spite of how sketchy and hidden he looks as an older man, it seems his relationship with Jujutsu High is more normal than with the old generation head that used the students to make herself immortal.
Miyaguni exclaims that she worries that at her age, she can be forgetful about what she tells other people.
Tsurugi mentally contemplates crossing the boundaries to ask about her mysterious age.
Hey wait a minute, how old is Yuki Tsukumo?
She was already an adult while Gojo and Geto were still students at 17 years old but they do not seem to call her a senior.
Anyway, while playing with the vibraslap, Miyaguni recalls how she did not stay long with the man and that he was very devoted to his wife, something that is uncommon these days.
So, we can confirm that while sexism was formally erased, adultery is even worse in the future.
Got it.
Miyaguni’s Past
We get a brief flashback panel of how her master found Miyaguni as a child.
There were blood splatters on her shirt, indicating that she had gotten into a fight in the streets, an orphan full of anger and seeking revenge.
The master tells Miyaguni to not cling to her anger and while she may not necessarily need to be Sorcerer, she should fight with purpose that is not out of anger.
This scene is implying she had awakened her powers early and the master spotted this.
“For love, we fear. For love, we rage. For love, we fight”
“Before we are sorcerers, we are humans”
Such a passionate, optimistic fellow.
While most regular Sorcerers dislike Todo, Miyaguni finds him interesting and charming.
Aoi Todo
We cut to a desert and we finally see who Miyaguni’s master is.
It is none other than the 86 year old Aoi Todo.
He sits down and we see he still has the left arm stub because of Mahito’s Idle Transfiguration making the damage permanent to his soul.
A woman with pigtails comes from behind as Todo asks her if she can still walk.
However, the woman tells her husband not to treat her like a helpless granny.
He goes together and Todo gives the final word (for now) of Jujutsu Kaisen, call her his “waifu”.
And judging from the pigtails, it might be possible that Aoi Todo, the man, the myth, the legend.
Has accomplished his ultimate dream.
Of marrying his idol, Noboku Takada.
There are only a few characters in Jujutsu Kaisen with twin pigtails, the most prominent being Todo’s classmate from Kyoto High, Momo Nishimiya.
However, she is just a shortie at 150cm and the woman here is still fairly close to Todo’s height.
In fact, Takada is called the “Tall Idol” for a reason, due to her being 180 cm and Todo is a giant of a man at 190cm.
They are that close in height.
So imagine that Takada left the idol life, possibly to run away from the toxicity of idol culture, to be with a respectful man who adores her.
Not to mention the term “waifu” is highlighted as even though it is translated directly as “wife”, given that Todo is an otaku, an idol fan, it is very likely a hint towards the identity of this woman.
Is Miyaguni Yuji’s Daughter?
It looks like this volume has destroyed the theory that Miyaguni is Yuji’s daughter.
According to the added information, Miyaguni trained under both Yuji and Todo.
This explains her look of disapproval in Chapter 19 when Yuji took down both sorcerers and Simurians.
That was a look of familiarity.
Not to mention how she felt the warmth of the Ritual of Harmony in Chapter 24 and it is juxtaposed to Yuji passing through.
These scenes and Miyaguni’s age fueled speculation that she is Yuji’s quarter-Death Painting daughter but now it looks like that has been solved.
She was an orphan abandoned by the world.
Perhaps her parents died or something happened to her family, which resulted in violence or abandonment.
Maybe she was like Uraume, whose Jujutsu took lives.
It would be interesting to find out what her Jujutsu technique is other than confirmation she is a Simple Domain user.
The Future of Jujutsu Kaisen As a Franchise
Although Modulo’s 25 chapter-content is more than enough for less than 12 episodes, that also means there is more than enough room for more content in between and the epilogue shows that through the Okkotsu’s dynamic with Miyaguni and maybe more time spent between Maru and Cross before the unfortunate trigger to the conflict midway.
We see with this epilogue how many stories could be fleshed out and overall, as its own story, Modulo stands with its more unique, centralized themes on immigration, cultural and religious freedom and responsibility, most of all bringing everything together even through different methods, a modulo.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Volume 3 will be out on May 1st.
And we have more to cover on it soon.
