ESCANOR IS BACK!!! Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 236 Spoilers!
After 6 years, Escanor returns in his original form as the Lion’s Sin of Pride, to challenge his daughter Gawain.
In the previous Four Knights of the Apocalypse, we are properly introduced to the five Knights of the Holy Grail, the children of the Four Knights from the future who travelled through time somehow.
Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 236 is titled, “Guided by Blood”
This chapter has 20 pages.
The cover features everyone asleep.
Gawain is the first to get up, telling the rest to leave.
Suddenly, they are surrounded by clouds and they see a weird structure up ahead
It only seemingly revealed itself because of Gawain’s presence.
Percival is familiar with this tower as it is the “twisty tower of the cruel mage”, which his grandfather Varghese told him about but is a legend unfamiliar to Lancelot and Tristan.
Figuring out that the Tower showed up back of her, Gawain rushes towards the front but the Tower reveals an eye and a mouth and asks for them to recite the credo of the Holy Knights.
A credo shared across all kingdoms of Britannia.
Both Tristan and Percival recite it and the tower opens up a crevice to let them in.
Lancelot rushes in and when they all see many doors, Lance tells them to just trust their guts.
Except they end up at the back of the tower, which embarasses him.
Percival tries next but he too ends up the same way.
Impatient, Lancelot asks for Percy’s weapon to smash the whole tower but Gawain tells them that there is a shadowy figure standing in front of her like it was made of black mist.
Except only Gawain could see this figure.
Strange.
Percival wonders if its a ghost so Gawain points to the others but all they see is an empty grass plain.
Lancelot remarks that they might still be inside the tower the whole time.
Percival intends to move but Gawain panics, asking if he wants to die.
Gawain is surprised the others cannot see all the deadly traps and Chaos monsters that she can see.
Gawain tells everyone to follow her in a tight line to avoid the monsters and they end up in a confined yet safe space.
This is what “guided by blood” means, hence the chapter title.
We then see Merlin’s crystal orb, likely Merlin herself or a spell telling Gawain to show it the blood of the “Witch of Gluttony” to receive the truth.
And standing in front of her was Escanor.
This time not as a skeletal puppet but in the flesh.
Declaring that anyone foolish enough to trespass will die by his hand, he points up, his fingers flaming, likely indicating he will activate the One in this fight.
And that Escanor somehow still has Mael’s Grace, Sunshine.
After over 6 years since his actual death and the loss of his body, Escanor returns to his full glory.
There is a Break this Week due to Golden Week.
Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 237 is titled, “Fateful Encounter” and will be released on May 13, 2026.
