Ryousuke Kira features in the latest Blue Lock volume, which hosts the final stretch of the U-20 Match between Blue Lock and France. Will he play a key role in the U-20 World Cup Arc?

On April 24, 2026, we got the cover for Blue Lock Volume 39, featuring Ryousuke Kira.

Unlike most Blue Lock players, he is instead chained by what looks like golden jewelry, signifying his comfort zone and his desire to oppose Blue Lock’s soccer with this conventional approach.

This sets Kira up to be an antagonist Blue Lock must face in the U-20 match, especially with Sae Itoshi and Seishiro Nagi being expected to participate in this massive arc.

It is interesting that he appears in a volume he makes no appearance in at all as this volume is the conclusion of the U-20 Match between France and Blue Lock, which has been going on since the end of Volume 37, which is also the volume where Kira made his most recent appearance in Chapter 327: “Birdcage” after his return to the story in Chapter 311: “Side-B”.

With 176 pages in total, Volume 39 will cover Chapter 339: “Worst Possible Situation” to the upcoming Chapter 346, set for release on May 13, 2026.

This volume will be released on June 17, 2026.
