Dr. Stone Finale and Artemis II Moon Mission Coincide
Art and real life are not only imitating but timing their movements too. Dr. Stone’s moon mission is finally being animated and shown on Netflix just as another moon mission begins liftoff.
On April 2, 2026, Dr. Stone Final Season Cour 3 premiered.
At the same time, the Artemis II moon mission laucnhed, being the first crewed mission for the Orion spacecraft and the first crewed mission on the Moon beyond low Earth orbit since Apollo 17 in December 1972
Dr. Stone’s final cour focuses on the Moon Mission Arc, its final arc to confront the Why-Man.

While it missed the initial liftoff, Netflix will be streaming the crew’s lunar flyby live to subscribers worldwide on April 6 at 10AM Pacific Time.
Dr. Stone’s final cour will be 13 episodes long, longer than all other cours, making the whole series 95 episodes in total.
