Dr. Stone Finale Trailer Released
Dr. Stone’s anime is set to conclude its 7-year journey (2019-2026) with a trip to the moon!
On March 6, 2026, a trailer for the finale of Dr. Stone is shown, covering the end of the New Stone World Arc, the Globetrotting Arc, and the final Moon Mission Arc.
A key character introduced in this cour is Ryusui’s older half-brother, Sai Nanami, who is a programmer found in India in order to make the Stone World’s first computer, a path towards building a rocket to the moon to negotiate with Why-Man, the source of the Petrification event.
Sai is voiced by Seiichiro Yamashita, who is best known for playing Cid Kagenou / Shadow in The Eminence in Shadow (2022-2023).
The season’s final opening theme is “Skins” performed by Asian Kung-Fu Generation, famous for their openings in Fullmetal Alchemist, Naruto and Bleach.
The first episode of Cour 3 of the Final Season, Episode 82 overall, titled “Future Engine” will adapt Chapter 199: “Superalloys” and Chapter 200, where the title is from for a total of 38 pages adapted.
This will conclude the New Stone World Arc and lead into the Truth of the Petrification Saga’s final arc, the Globetrotting Arc (Chapter 201 to 212), which will be followed by the final saga, Stone to Space and the final arc, the Moon Mission Arc (Chapter 213 to 232).
This means there will be 32 total chapters adapted across its 12 episodes, bringing the Season 4 episode count to 36 episodes that have adapted 98 chapters.
It is unclear if the anime will adapt the additional Volume 27, which contains an epilogue one-shot “Terraforming” and the 3-chapter 4D Science sequel.
This season will premiere on April 2, 2026.
About Dr. Stone
Dr. Stone is a science fiction manga written by Riichiro Inagaki, illustrated by Boichi, and published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump from March 6, 2017 to March 7, 2022 within 27 volumes.
The manga would be adapted into an anime series by TMS Entertainment (Sakamoto Days), beginning with Season 1 that ran from July 5 to December 13, 2019 with 24 episodes.
This is followed by “Stone Wars”, Season 2, airing from January 14 to March 25, 2021 with 12 episodes.
A TV special, Dr. Stone: Ryusui premiered on July 10, 2022 to set up Season 3, “New World”, which would be divided into 2 parts, with Cour 1 airing from April 6 to June 15, 2023, and Cour 2 airing from October 12 to December 21, 2023.
The finale of the anime will air on April 2, 2026 with 12 episodes, ending possibly on June 18, 2026, totalling 94 episodes.
The manga is set 5,700 years after the modern world was petrified by a mysterious phenomenon. The first human to awaken was Senku, a science-driven high-schooler, who uncovers the secret to reviving humans into the new Stone Age and speedruns two millions years of technological development in a few short years.
Recently, Dr. Stone has reached the 20 million sales milestone as of March 23, 2026 and Inagaki himself has reached 50 million copies total sold across his 25 years of work.
