Karasu and Isagi Fall Out! Blue Lock Chapter 337 Spoilers!
Isagi and Karasu’s strategies and beliefs clash in this chapter as they debate on which path best serves the individual and Blue Lock’s philosophy as a whole.
In the previous Blue Lock chapter, Hiori goes for his own goal, thus proving Hugo’s Theory of Aptitude right that being No. 2 is the key to Blue Lock’s victory.
Blue Lock Chapter 337 is titled, “Double Joker”
Editor’s note: “Amidst the whirlpool of joy, Isagi feels a change..”
The chapter begins with Isagi wondering where Blue Lock is headed, just as Karasu approaches him and expresses his commitment to play the support role and build a goal route beyond Isagi.
Isagi calls out Karasu for leaving behind his life as a striker but Karasu clarifies he is not throwing it away.
Additionally, Karasu points out that Isagi has played support or link up before and that Isagi is invalidating Gagamaru, who is the goalkeeper, or those on Defense.
Isagi knows Karasu is right but he feels a sense of wrongness.
With his aura building up, Karasu points out that unlike Isagi, he is willing to change for the sake of Blue Lock.
Now Isagi understands the problem he feels.
For Isagi, even if it is for the Blue Lock Project or team, by choosing Blue Lock as the subject instead of the self, Karasu has betrayed his nature as an Egoist.
By prioritizing the team’s victory at the cost of the self, Karasu is unfit for Blue Lock.
Upset by this, Karasu calls Isagi a “piece of trash” and tells him to go score a goal.
He also points out that he is learning from the enemy’s opinion of Blue Lock and is willing to adapt to the situation.
Karasu calls out Isagi by saying that for Isagi, it is more “Blue Lock-like” to be crushed by France for his sake, essentially saying that putting all their stock and making Isagi their only No 1. is a bad move.
He is right to call out Isagi’s hypocrisy.
While Blue Lock is a team of Egoists, relying on one Egoist to be No. 1 defeats the purpose of their Egoism.
Isagi says he is also thinking about Blue Lock by making himself the No. 1 but now Karasu fires back since Isagi is also changing the subject of that sentence and their focus.
Before the argument escalates, Aiku breaks the two of them off, saying both mentalities are correct and suggesting to let both their ideologies clash to create a new form for Blue Lock to win this match.
Both Isagi and Karasu agree.
Charles worries about Blue Lock now catching up while Loki sees it as better this way now as it will be more fun and no longer a total blowout.
The match restarts.
Rin vs Loki Round 2.
Isagi observes the situation, that while Karasu and Hiori’s goal did alter the strategy, nothing has really changed for Blue Lock, so he must become effective in order to secure the win.
Yet he hates becoming No. 2.
Suddenly, Hugo creeps up behind Isagi, whispering close in his ear that being No. 2 is also the path of the Egoist, so he tells Isagi about the pride and Ego of a No. 2.
