Samura’s Final Battle BEGINS! Kagurabachi Chapter 109 Spoilers!
Just as the Sword Saint prepares to take over Japan, Samura uses up the last of his life force, sacrificing himself to gain the power to stand alone against the strongest character in Kagurabachi.
In the previous Kagurabachi chapter, Soga Akemura the Sword Saint destroys Enten and stabs Chihiro through the heart.
Will we actually lose our protagonist for a second time this arc?
Kagurabachi Chapter 109 is titled, “Tobimune vs Magatsumi”
This chapter has 19 pages.
The chapter begins where we left when Chihiro’s heart gets stabbed, with the young man bleeding from the mouth.
Soga remarks that the “divine protection” from Suzaku has vanished as Samura’s own Suzaku was not enough in the face of Magatsumi’s life drain.
Soga expresses his condolences for Chihiro as both he and Enten are slowly being destroyed, saying that his father Kunishige cursed him with this fleeting fate.
Soga condemns his brother-in-law’s philosophy, how he has fallen off as a blacksmith with “rusting conviction” and complacency throughout the years dulling his sharp mind and the result was a “weak” counter to the Magatsumi.
Soga then condemns Samura for waging everything on a “piece of trash” like Chihiro and now that his enemies have fallen, Soga intends to complete his mission by reaching into Kamunabi Headquarters.
Pointing the Magatsumi down, Soga activates “Bee”, which brings out a swirl of energy from the butt of the sword.
This ability is similar to Tobimune’s Crow and it allows Magatsumi’s wielder to teleport to a chosen destination, such as Underground, which could be beyond Crow’s range.
And Soga teleports between Izaru of the Kamunabi and Hokuto of the Hishaku.
Shiba thankfully retrieves Hakrui before the Sword Saint kills him for his mission and they stay out of Kamunabi Headquarters, atop a building and worry about Chihiro and Samura.
Magatsumi’s Bee attack is fifth insect-based attack of the Enchanted Blade and rather than teleportation, it actually pierces the entire itself.
Hakuri and the others were inside the barrier room that was 300 meters below ground and one move was enough to make a hole on the Earth.
Hokuto assumes the man in front of him is Yura and Soga remarks he is yet to be familiar with and tells him that the rest of the Hishaku will join him later.
Soga talks to Izaru, a man he knows personally, and remarks he finds it hard to believe all the Kamunabi unanimously agreed on sealing the Enchanted Blades, so Soga politely asks for the names of those who supported and participated in the sealing.
Izaru asks what would happen if he will do that and Soga responds by saying he will demonstrate.
Shiba is terrified as even the other five Enchanted Blades were not enough to defeat Soga, let alone two in the present day.
Shiba asks if Hakuri’s powers returned, which reassures Shiba that they have other options in retrieving the other two Enchanted Blades, so he opts to regroup and retreat, focusing on saving as many people from Kamunabi Headquarters as possible
An ominous silence reigns…

Activates
Malediction!
The Malediction speeds up Magatsumi’s ability to steal life from its surroundings.
All the flowers Yura planted on his victims earlier are beginning to grow, meaning those people are headed for death.
Soga intends to purge the Kamunabi and place them under his command.
With the Malediction, he will rule Japan.
Shiba looks on at the ruins of the Kamunabi Headquarters, now wondering what to do next.
Suddenly, someone calls out to him.
Samura is still clinging to life, recalling Soga’s last words to him about his failure, about the “trash” he bet on.
Chihiro recalls his life with his father, caring for their goldfish while Enten begins to crumble.
Recalling how Chihiro saved him from despair, Samura remarks that Chihiro’s path is bright and lights up for others to follow, which is proof Chihiro is not trash.
The dying Chihiro watches on as Samura’s hilt bursts into black flames.
Suddenly, Soga sees Samura coming back, covered in black flames.
Black is the color of Spirit Energy burning up, the burning of life force.
Samura has now activated the offensive Suzaku, but at the cost of his life, all to face the might of the Magatsumi.
Along with the chapter title, the chapter ends with a sacrificial faceoff.
