Chihiro’s Uncle Wants to Murder His Best Friend Hakuri! Kagurabachi Chapter 106 Spoilers!

In the previous Kagurabachi chapter, Soga Akemura fully possesses Yura’s body and finally introduces himself to Chihiro.

Kagurabachi Chapter 106 is titled, “Destiny”

The chapter begins with a flashback of young Chihiro asking his father about the Sword Saint but the man simply says that the history lessons are all he needs to know and, sensing his father’s hesitation, Chihiro never brought him up again after this point.

Meanwhile, Shiba rests at the train station after teleporting many people out.

Now Shiba senses Soga’s revival, being also familiar with him even without the connection Enchanted Blade users have with each other.

We return to the end of the previous chapter as Soga points Magatsumi’s tip at Chihiro while remarking that Chihiro has grown up.

Chihiro is shocked that the Sword Saint knows his name since of the Enchanted Blade wielders, only Samura and Uruha have known of his existence.

Soga could vaguely sense anything within the Shinuchi’s vicinity and remarks that he knew Chihiro lived with his father Kunishige, who never spoke of him.

Soga now asks how much does Chihiro weigh, with Chihiro being confused at first but then revealing he is 70 kilograms.

Soga responds, saying the last time he saw Chihiro, he was 3.86 kilograms, meaning Chihiro was less than a year old, and Soga knew this because he was the one who bought his bib.

Soga now fully confirms he is the younger brother of Chihiro’s mother.

He might be younger than Samura, who is 40 years old and someone he addresses respectfully, and around the same age as Uruha, who is the confirmed youngest of the Enchanted Blade users.

Soga was imprisoned after September 30th 18 years ago and at this time, Chihiro was more than a month old because he was born on August 11th.

During the last portions of the war, before casting the Malediction, Soga was present when his older sister was alive to raise Chihiro.

Soga asks about why Kunishige sealed the Enchanted Blades, with Chihiro responding by saying that it was because of the mistake called “The Malediction”.

Soga asks why it was deemed such.

Chihiro explains that among the 200,000 victims were children.

Soga fires back, saying that the children of the Shokoku had the same blood as the invaders and that they were taught the same things.

This might tie back to the Kyonagi Clan and their persecution, leaving Char the lone survivor.

Are they connected to Shokoku?

It is quite ironic indeed, that the clan most feared as the greatest threat to Japan are tied to the ore that created the weapon that killed them, an ore only found in Shokoku.

While Soga said he murdered anyone he considered an enemy, he points out that the issue should not be looked at linearly, so he welcomes diversity of opinion.

The Sword Saint is an interesting follow and a walking paradox.

While he respects Japanese tradition as a sign of his loyalty to the state, he talks rather informally and in a lax manner.

While he is an extremist bent on killing any and all relations to any threat, he accepts that the truth of the matter must be looked at from multiple angles.

Now Soga asks why the Enten was created, to which Chihiro says that it is meant to destroy other Enchanted Blades.

The air changes as Chihiro quickly senses a dark mood.

Chihiro is frustrated that his father never told him that his uncle was the Sword Saint.

However, Chihiro also understood the decision because the truth would get in the way, as it would cause him to feel disgusted with someone with blood ties with him, someone who is so distant yet also feel familial affinity towards him.

Soga apologizes to Chihiro for asking so many questions but then he asks if the world that rejects the Malediction and has sealed the Enchanted Blades away is the correct world.

Sensing cold, killing intent from his uncle, Chihiro says that the current world is the wrong one.

That could also be because of Yura’s words from Chapter 104: “Heroes” and how they made sense even to Chihiro.

Chihiro has the clarity Sasuke and other anime avengers lacked, perhaps because he has sent over a hundred chapters reflecting on his responsibility as the inheritor of an Enchanted Blade, of the legacy of his father, who he had lost.

Soga states that the Enchanted Blades are born with the purpose of destroying evil and protecting the weak and os intends to fulfill that purpose, starting with the death of Chihiro’s friend, Hakuri,  a remnant of the Sazanami clan responsible for the Rakuzaichi auctions

The Rakuzaichi is the biggest black market event in Kagurabachi’s Japan.

The Sazanami’s, especially under Kyora, not only collect rare artifacts like the Enchanted Blades but also people as well, like the ice lady Hakuri befriended.

Also, Hakuri got much stronger since his rehabilitation and that gives Soga all the more reason to kill him even though the man does not even know Hakuri’s story.

Samura comes forward, revealing that he has healed from Soga’s panel-breaking Butterfly slash with Suzaku but Suzaku was too slow to heal Samura.

Since the Shinuchi controls life force itself, Soga is Samura’s natural enemy and so they clash on equal terms.

Samura may be the White Purity Style of Iai but Soga learned it from pure intuition even though he hated Itsuo Shirakai.

Samura remarks that the true strength of the Shinuchi is that it has more than three abilities and could very go to beyond four.

As Soga unsheathes the Magatsumi, we see the trees lose leaves as dark ooze forming butterflies are unleashed, meaning it is beginning to suck the life out of everything.

Samura stands in front of Chihiro, stating that Soga must be eliminated due to how extreme his beliefs are and to prevent another tragedy like the Malediction.

While Soga tells Chihiro to give it a rest, Chihiro refuses, declaring that he must confront the reason the Enchanted Blades were sealed and must be destroyed with Enten.
