Boruto and Himawari are Mamushi’s Perfect Counters! Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 29 Full Spoilers Part 2
While Himawari and her Team 10 succeed in taking down the growing number of Mamushi, Kashin Koji looks more worried than ever.
In the previous Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter, Boruto faces off against Mamushi and reawakens Karma for the first time in 2 years!
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 29 is titled “Pest Control”.
This chapter has 41 pages.
The color page features Boruto with his Karma activated, revealing the parts of his body healed with Karma.
He definitely has the look of someone who has accepted his death
Editor’s note: “A negotiation has been proposed!! Will Momoshiki lend him his power?!”
In the first part of our spoilers, we deliberate on the meaning of the first 12 pages that could indicate that Ikemoto has clarified the canon: that Boruto has always held a right Byakugan because of Momoshiki’s repairs in Chapter 1 of the original series, rather than the Jogan or Pure Eye, given to him before even meeting Momoshiki Otsutsuki.
Anyway, Boruto throws some shuriken to use the Flying Raijin Jutsu with, allowing him to destroy the clones with his Massive Rasengan.
Although Boruto always had massive chakra reserves as an Uzumaki, Boruto is clearly making the most of having Momoshiki and the Karma’s power to pump out strong techniques.
Inojin detects more clones in Area C and the southern part of Area D, leading to Shikamaru commanding Team 10 and Boruto to head to Area D.
Kawaki Joins the Fray
Mamushi regroups with clones in a forest area, remarking that their numbers are dwindling because of Boruto.
Suddenly, Mamushi is stabbed on the eyes by Kawaki’s rods, floating over the area and declaring that
The panel’s camera angle from his foot looks nice, giving him more menace.
The Mamushi clones fly up, surprising Kawaki since it seems like the clones can also fly like himself and that Jura is not the only one with flight.
Kawaki punches them and stabs their eyes with his rods.
Page 20 is the first sneak peek.
We see Kawaki wipe the floor with the Mamushi clones, leading to them retreating and wondering how they were found out even though as Divine Trees, they had their chakra signatures erased to avoid detection.
This is why Inojin’s “Mind Body Transmission Formation” in the previous chapter was crucial as he detected their vibrations rather than chakra, which they were able to hide.
Shikamaru commends Kawaki on a good job, completing the North Area C extermination.
Meanwhile, Kobu’s interrogation of Mitsuki continues from last chapter as he asks about the sealing cuffs on Boruto preventing him from using his chakra.
Kobu mentions there were no malfunctions or abnormalities and there was no chance they naturally fell off due to the impact of Mitsuki’s attacks, which makes Kobu conclude that regardless of how one looks at it, Mitsuki intentionally freed Boruto.
However, the sealing cuffs require a four-digit code that Mitsuki would not have known.
Konohamaru confirms only he, Ibiki and Shikamaru know the code, so if Mitsuki is found guilty of freeing Boruto, it will only be a matter of time for Shikamaru to also be questioned.
Nishi spots Konohamaru in front of the interrogation room, with Konohamaru making up the excuse that he still has something to tell Kobu so he asks to be let into the room.
Sai receives word from the Sensory Unit that the Human Divine Trees and Boruto have been spotted within the Leaf Village, so he has them connect him to the Eighth Hokage.
Meanwhile, Shikamaru tells Kawaki to stay in the southern part of Area A, which is in the center of the Leaf Village to be prepared to fly off for anything.
Suddenly, Shikamaru receives Sai’s transmission and so puts Inojin on hold.
Sai informs Shikamaru of the situation and that the report is unusual due to how the Sensory Team felt nothing.
Again, Boruto and the Mamushi clones, as Otsutsuki, can erase chakra signatures perfectly.
Shikamaru confirms the report and has Sai release Mitsuki in case of an emergency.
Sai remarks that Kobu will not let this slide, so Shikamaru tells the ANBU head that Mitsuki’s release are due to an emergency and under the Hokage’s orders.
In Area D, while some civilians are relaxing, Mamushi asks them the same question: Eida’s location.
Inojin is alarmed that they have multiplied up to 50 in only a short amount of time.
Team 10 hears the situation and Shikamaru has Boruto head to the southern part of Area D.
Back to the interrogation, Kubo asks Mitsuki how he learned of the four-digit release code but Konohamaru steps in, revealing that he was actually unable to set the release code for the cuffs in the first place and that is why they came off easily.
Mitsuki telepathically asks his sensei why he is doing this and Konohamaru explains that he knew Mitsuki was the one to free Boruto and Shikamaru was the one to give him the code and Konohamaru is stepping in to protect Shikamaru from being removed from office since he is still needed.
However, Kobu remarks that Konohamaru is lying and that he is clearly protecting someone, so he asks for the Eighth Hokage to be interrogated next.
Konohamaru’s gambit backfired immensely and rushed Shikamaru’s fate.
Meanwhile, Mamushi counts 70 villagers in the southern part of Area D, looking at them.
Before they could proceed, Himawari attacks one of the Mamushis, resulting in two more being produced to attack her.
Shikadai and Chocho join Himawari.
Shikadai uses Net Casting Shadow Paralysis Jutsu to send shadows from a distance to halt their movements, causing them to slip off the rooftops they were on.
Chocho uses Partial Expansion Jutsu to grab hold of them.
Inojin claims this will be a piece of cake but we do not see Koji’s reaction, as if something far worse is about to happen.
Editor’s note: “Despite everyone’s hard work to reduce Mamushi’s numbers, Kashin Koji seems displeased?!”
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 30 will be released on January 20, 2025.
