THE GOD OF FOOTBALL EXISTS?! Blue Lock Chapter 328 Spoilers!

Can Isagi fulfill Ego’s dream? Will the final matchup against Noel Noa be the moment Isagi meets the “God of Football”?

BLUE LOCK © 2018 by Kaneshiro Muneyuki and Nomura Yuusuke/KODANSHA.

THE GOD OF FOOTBALL EXISTS?! Blue Lock Chapter 328 Spoilers!

In the previous Blue Lock chapter, Side-B begins with its first stage, the Bird Cage, where pairs race to escape other players, with Nagi and Kira joining forces as Isagi’s rivals.

Blue Lock Chapter 328 is titled, “God”

This chapter has 20 pages

Editor’s note: “After the first match was finished, Isagi, having been called in now faces Ego. What is Ego’s true intention?”

The chapter begins where we left off when Isagi asks what Ego wishes to speak to him about.

Ego asks for Isagi’s intentions at the final stretch of the match against Nigeria in Chapter 325: “The Student Becomes the Master”.

Isagi wonders if Ego is angry but verbally states that he had his own goal as an egoist, which should be natural.

As it turns out, Ego was not completely fazed as he remarked that given that they had the win guaranteed testing out a new way of thinking would not have been a bad idea in itself.

However, Ego states that if “gamble play” continues to be a form, it will create confusion even for teammates who aren’t able to respond to it and Blue Lock’s formation and tactics will collapse.

For ego, gambles are only a sub-weapon (secondary tactic) to use when there is room to spare and that strikers should not make their main weapon gamble play that cannot be reproduced.

Isagi understands but insists that he is close to figuring out his ego, his image of being the best striker in the world and thus finds Ego’s soccer is insufficient for him.

Isagi is surprised to find himself with Ego on the roof of Blue Lock.

Ego explains that this is just an emergency evacuation area.

Returning to the conversation, Ego asks for Isagi to prove his theory.

While clarifying he is not denying Ego, Isagi brings up the Super Play highlight video Ego sent him for training and reveals that while the training certainly expanded his imagination and creativity, there’s a limit to what Isagi can reach with his own means and it would not be enough to spend his whole life in study or training.

Therefore, he has to create the theory within the football field itself.

This is because while he was able to fight Loki, Lorenzo and Kaiser and win in a single play or match, when comparing himself, Isagi is not better than they are.

In spite of calling Kaiser a clown that he used in Chapter 294: “Champion”, Isagi acknowledges Kaiser as a genius.

Furthermore, his goal of beating the best striker, Noel Noa, would be impossible with physical ability alone, no matter how he would be reborn.

Isagi learns on his own terms that there are two types of humans: geniuses and talented learners or prodigies.

One is not better than the other but both need each other to grow endlessly through competition.

Limitless evolution through football dynamics.

Yep, Isagi is Ego 2.0.

He nailed Ego’s theory of evolution from Chapter 281: “The Formula of Evolution” and all without Ego’s initial input, just from experience alone.

Ego explains that when he was a football player 10 years ago, he felt like football was something divine, like it was guided by a god, so the age of the Neo Egoist League began.

Isagi insists on being the “ultimate talent”, someone that will make the geniuses of Blue Lock like Rin and Bachira want to surpass.

Ego asks Isagi is there is a God of Football.

Isagi wonders if he means figures like Zico and Diego Maradona.

Ego brings up an unscientific phenomenon, something not of this world and invisible.

For Ego, the “God of Football” is the result of perfecting your thoughts and effort, where mind and body totally sync up and that there is something beyond your control guiding your destiny.

When Ego was still a player, he encountered this “God”, a winged being behind Ego.

This could be like the Greek concept of daemon (unknown superfactor guiding things) or genius (an individual moment of divinity accompanying a person), both concepts being similar to demons and guardian angels respectively.

For Ego, this explained his unusual performance and was the only time, never before or after, that he felt this way about his performance.

Isagi wonders if this is different from “Flow” or the “Luck Equation”.

So now Ego asks the question again, if there is indeed a God of Football and for Isagi, if such an invisible entity exists, it is the reason he met Bachira and everyone in Blue Lock.

However, Ego remarks that he feels like God will not help him anymore, hence why he quit football and became chained to logic and treating football like a science, his Blue Lock like a laboratory.

Isagi then promises that he will meet the God of Football.

Ego looks forward to Isagi surpassing him and fulfilling his dream to meet God.

Ego is like a scientist, whose ultimate goal is to witness the existence of the divine at work.

Noel Noa is still the final boss of Blue Lock but his purpose will now be to help Isagi realize the existence of the God of Football.

Editor’s note: “”The determination to become the best in the world explodes now””
