Did Harald Want Loki to Kill Him? Or Was This the Battle that Crowned Shanks as Yonko! One Piece Chapter 1168 Added Spoilers
All the pieces are in place to finally explain how Harald died. But were Loki and Jarul the only ones involved? Or was this the battle that made Shanks a Yonko? Where like his captain Roger, he reached GOD HAKI
The early spoilers tell us the events between the last chapter and the moment of Harald’s death and the added spoilers now confirm
The Gorosei introduced King Harald to Imu, who granted him the “Deep Sea” contract—the second most powerful contract and one given to the Holy Knights.
The three-tier subscription Imu offers depends on how much of himself he is willing to invest and that perhaps Imu had limited spreading his power to thirteen hosts in varying degrees, the Five Elders getting Devil Fruit-like abilities and eight Knights of God receiving only the immortality package.
Harald immediately felt like he had grown stronger, and Imu informed him that he had now become immortal and had ascended to the rank of Holy Knight.
When Harald returned to Elbaph, Imu ordered him to create an army of giants that would rival the Navy’s power, all in service to the World Government.
Harald felt that his body was no longer responding to him—that he was powerless and weakened—and that Imu was controlling him.
Because of this, Harald ordered his men to tie him to a mast to restrict his movements, then summoned both Loki and Jarul for an urgent meeting.
Considering Loki was the son who inherited his Ancient Giant lineage and Jarul was both a legendary veteran and one of the elders of Elbaph, this meeting would have two purposes:
First was to settle the future of Elbaph without Harald and possible World Government intervention.
And second, so that both the strongest Giants available will kill Harald in the event that he becomes possessed like Rocks D. Xebec.
Perhaps this is how Loki would know of Rocks’ fate, that he died converted into Imu’s demon.
Question is, could Loki, strong as he is, have been capable of killing his father?
Keep in mind that Harald was able to clash with Rocks.
Both men were converted into Demons and became even stronger in terms of Haki.
Perhaps Shanks also entered the picture and like his captain Roger before him, he would gain a new deeper level of Conqueror’s Haki, the level that enabled him to become a modern-day legend.
